We'll all know tomorrow - unless the hint is ambiguous.

I remember there wasn't 100% agreement on the BSD hint.

And there was, so I've heard, the infamous Black Rose/Black Knight 2000 confusion.

Can't wait!So many suggestions have been thrown in the ring, be interesting to see whether it perhaps is a table nobody considered.

Nothing comes close to the Fish Tales madness. Although the Black Rose clue was pretty good.

I hope the hint is a little tougher than they've been lately.

I disagree. The Fish Tales clue was pretty obvious. People were just confused about it being just one table and a table of the month. The Black Rose clue could have been anything that has black in it.

It'd be great if there were an archive of all the hints. Maybe FS can dig up all the old newsletters and put them on the website somewhere. LAW? Or are you just working on leaderboards/security?

So, these are my predictions for Table 39.

- It will be a DMD table, no alphanumeric Gottliebs here. :)
- It could be a cheap-license Stern table (ex. Sharkey's Shootout, Grand Prix)
- It could be a cheap-license Williams table (ex. Corvette, Judge Dredd)
- It could be a Sony-licensed table (ex. Johnny Mnemonic, Godzilla)

These are terrible predictions but hopefully they'll go somewhere.

I believe this was covered elsewhere. I'd be very happy with Corvette. In the sense that I played it every day in the same arcade for months on end, I OWNED this table back in the day. I got very upset when the scores reset or someone else got a score on MY leaderboard.

Best part of the speculation threads are always the day or so leading up to the newsletter. It's when they are most entertaining. And then the newsletter comes out and the hint is solved within minutes.

Are you including unlicensed DMDs in prediction 1? :) AKA: Safe Cracker, Hurricane, Checkpoint, Striker Xtreme, Wipe Out, Gladiators, and World Challenge Soccer, and I think that's all of the remaining unlicensed DMD production tables from the major manufacturers.

I predict HS2 or an unlicensed DMD.

I think the Sony license is either exhausted, or there is a remaining table, like Frankenstein, that is being saved for Halloween.

I'm thinking Eight Ball Deluxe as an 80s table, because
--Xenon won the pre-80s poll and is being dated as 1979 by Farsight(up for debate, let it go).
--The Getaway is odds-on the #40 table, and is from the 90s.
--It barely lost to Centaur in that poll a couple years ago and is heavily requested and very popular.
--If I recall from the podcast, SYT is a fan.
--You're welcome.

It will be the getaway. The table was already accidentally revealed for season 4 earlier in the season. If they save it for last, there is no mystery as to what the last table will be. Plus it has a dmd which is a perfect follow up to xenon, an early solid state table.

They could have changed plans. That was a list that users were never meant to see. There could have been a lot of unconfirmed stuff in it.
