Backed for two platforms, iOS and PC. Hope the latter will actually be available if it makes.

Okay,I'm going to come out and say it...

I'm not a big fan of T2 pinball.

Unless I had no other choice at whatever truck stop I was currently at,I would avoid it al all costs.
(And if you think that is bad enough - I'm not a fan of TAF either)

BUT...

Having said that - I still plan on pledging for the T2 kickstarter.

While FS has made some mistakes during their time with TPA, and the big Xbox fiasco (which I know isn't their fault, but still...) the bottom line is that I LOVE TPA. Having a driving job back in the 90's enabled me to play many of the tables from TPA in real life (I think there is a future thread/post I'll make regarding that). I love the idea of being able to forever play in some form my favorite pinballs.

Not only that, but if the T2 kickstarter does succeed - I'll probably end up liking it better than I do now. I HATED Arabian Nights IRL,but spending time (and unlimited replays) with it on TPA has helped me to understand the pin better. While it will never be a favorite pin of mine - the fact remains that without TPA in existence,I wouldn't have had that chance to change my mind.

So I'm in - either the $20 or $30 tier - haven't decided just yet.

But until it is all said and done - I will continue to support FS/TPA.

Now if only I knew Banzai Run was coming out for sure..... :)

I'll be on the fence until the final day. If the drive needs a big push toward the end, then I'll reconsider my position.

I'm not a huge fan of the table, however it would not be good if this Kickstarter failed.

Donated $20 to the Kickstarter, can already see the effects of the burnout from the other platforms as only $5K has been raised thus far.

Remember TZ and TNG already being close to half-way to the goal within the first 48 hours. But I have faith it will go through with more promotion. During the Pro Pinball Kickstarter, I was willing to go as high as $75 near the latter days of the campaign in order to have it get greenlit. If times are desperate I will be willing to do the same thing just to have T2.

So let me get this straight, if this doesnt meet the target price then they cant re-kickstarter it at a later date as its against Kickstarter rules!? In which case T2 will be lost to TPA FOREVER!!!??? :(.

Maybe FS should set TAF as a stretched goal, then surely they would smash it???

I am probably gonna skip this table, unless they pair it with another machine. which I doubt will happen, since its a kickstarter.
however I do hope it does get funded. I want all machines from the last 50 years to be recreated even if I hate them or love them.

My main problem is the real version of this table is not out of reach of the average pinball buyer. It doesn't command insane prices like TZ, ST:TNG or TAF for that matter. T2 is a fun table and significant as it was the first to utilize a DMD to good potential. I know Checkpoint was the first but it was a tiny DMD score display where as T2 used it much better. Nonetheless, I would have been more interested in a KS for something like the Simpsons's license or, say, Tron LE (if ROM emu was possible). That table is very unubtainable for all but the richest of pinball buyers. T2? I saw three sitting outside in pieces at the Allentown Show. Could have just bought all three for a low price and built one nice one. TAF? Yea, there was one sitting outside too. Price? $4,500. I rest my case.

Yeah im not sure why everyone wouldn't want to back this table, even for the lowest backing value!!. If this isnt a successes it might mean there may be no other KS tables in the future.

A great Tournament video here from PAPA 14 Finals, the music and sound effects on this table are awesome!!!....

Watched that video yesterday and pledged 50 right after. Looks like a really fun table.

i love playing pinball, but i'm now getting sick of FarSight's attitude. they have a very successful product they are making loads of money from. why should they ask the public to pay for the license for them? not impressed at all. they will continue to sell every table to me, but should stop taking the pi_ss, in my opinion

no doubt i will get slagged for this opinion, someone already mentioned in the 7 million downloads thread that apparently this is not a welcome statement. just for my own interest, if you agree with me, gimme a +1

It is possible to run another kickstarter campaign if a first run fails. However, people are assuming that FS has a limited time period with the T2 license so there might not be enough time to rerun it if it were to fail.

I just checked the trending at kicktraq and it's currently trending at 96% of goal. We should keep in mind that the project started over the weekend so there are probably people that won't find out about it until Monday. I hope that the FS PR machine does something with this early this week in order to get the word out.

If they're close, would/could FS kick in the remainder? Just a thought as I'm not familiar with the rules of the campaign.

Not according to the terms of Kickstarter. It's supposedly a no-no. I'm sure it's happened in a round about way in other kicstarters, but it's no supposed to under their terms.

I'm not backing this Kickstarter but did back the previous two.

I can understand why Farsight still need help with the heavy licences despite their success so far.

My reasons personally for not backing this time...

1- I don't particularly want T2, I'd buy it if it comes to market to keep my full TPA set complete. But it won't break my heart if TPA doesn't get T2. I'm just not that crazy for the real table.
I also wouldn't back TAF, but I would back Simpsons or Indy or Family guy (if rom emu was possible).

2- I don't want the the table as a KS reward. I only play on Android, and reward tables are tied to a Farsight server login not the Play Store. This means, no server - no tables, as has accidentally happened previously. I prefer my tables purchased through the app store so I can play them independently and indefinitely in the future.

3- I'm not currently much of a Farsight fan at this moment which I find sad. I continue to buy simply because there is no legal or mobile available alternative (still hoping for an Android Zaccaria port when/if possible Zsolt), and I can't afford to own real tables at the minute.
I've followed TPA since launch, but feel let down personally with quality and release of knowingly broken tables. There also seems little or no effort to fix product, with the emphasis being to constantly release new product or develop new platforms.
I hope this still gets turned around though, with Farsight giving more emphasis to supporting existing purchases.

If this doesn't succeed I'd guess I'm typical of the previous backers that Farsight have lost due to previous handling, and general performance.
If it doesn't succeed I hope Farsight notice and address this change in attitude. I'd guess a lot of customers aren't satisfied but continue to purchase due to no other alternative, whearas this KS might reflect the general attitude better than normal sales figures would show.

Even though I'm not backing, I hope this does succeed, and certainly think it still could, just so that everyone who does want this, gets their table.
Despite not backing this Kickstarter I'm hoping Farsight will have a long future with TPA.

T2 is an absolute blast, great machine if you haven't played one.

Addams Family next?? Wow. That's huge.

I'm not optimistic this will succeed. The last two KS have been run poorly and I feel a lot of good will has been lost by the fringe supporters because of it. For myself, I don't like the reward being tied to an account and I had to rebuy st tng because of that. T2 is also not that big a draw to non pinheads in my opinion regardless of its design firsts.

I wish them luck. When the PC platform comes out, I can see them succeeding with TAF.

I would have thought it they were within $8,000 of the target then they would stump up the remainder......indirectly. As surely that would be worth them investing in at a loss to start off with but no doubt would make it back in the long term

I don't understand why backers get their panties bunched up over the reward. IMO it's really stupid to even offer the table as a reward in the first place. You should be backing to get the machine made not to get the table for "free".

I get it, it's a reward and it shouldn't be a hassle but, if you are already donating 50$ to 100$ or more, what's another 5 bucks? Is it really worth getting upset over, or boycotting future kick starters over? I'm sure they will have it together this time anyway.

As for the general T2 lack of enthusiasm. It baffles me. I could not stop playing it at Papa in April. It's one of those pins where every shot just feels perfect. It's fast, fun, and satisfying as all hell. Better than Bram Stokers Dracula IMO and definitely one of Steve Richies best. IMO way more fun than Star Trek.

And I wasn't alone. T2 constantly had players on it and they had 4 of them.
