There's been quite a bit of activity on the TPA website of late, not least of which is an overhaul of the leaderboards and the purging of a lot of "suspect" scores. If you've not checked it out in a while, go see how things are shaping up. It's far better than it used to be. For this we have LAW to thank!

Anyway, since FS appear to be focusing a bit more on their website, are there any suggestions for further improvements?

To kick off:
- Move the FAQs to their own tab, and do an update - the ones referring to X360 and DX11 can either be removed, or updated to say they're done!
- Put up a newsletters archive. Just in case people missed one, or just for browsing or curiosity. Personally I want to look back through old table hints.

Aha, yes we sortof need a special thread for this. In the very beginning we actually did want to archive our newsletters, in fact until just recently the news tab said "newsletters" under the headline. It turned out to be a little bit more difficult though, and probably we'd need to make PDF's of them. We'll talk about it again and see. And we'll update our FAQs!

@LAW thanks for your help in here. Here is a glitch I just noticed (posted it here also) http://digitalpinballfans.com/showt...derboard-scores/page26?highlight=nuclearkevin I had been #1 on TZ with 214B. It seems dep has taken the #1 spot with 244B and congratulation's to him!

Only problem is that I am not listed as #2
. Tarek is now listed as #2 with 212B. I am not listed at all for TZ on PS3 network and on the leaderboard website. I am still listed as #4 on STTNG, so at least I am not completely deleted :D Any Ideas? Thanks

Filtering the leaderboard data, you have only 6 scores registered (MM, BoP, ST:TNG, T2, W?D, BSD). Weird.

Are PSN scores not included?

No, they are. Except on FunHouse on which it seems the in-game leaderboards and the website leaderboards are not synced, and are totally different.

Yes, I really dont play much - those are about the only tables except for AF which I only played once or twice...

Sorry, I might not be doing the "reply with quote" thing quite right.

Your 214B score is in the list of scores that were recently (?) deleted, available from the leaderboard webpage.

I don't know anything more. I suppose you could email support@pinballarcade.com and make your case. None of the scores on the list of deleted scores struck me as being misguided to delete, in a quick view; all the ones I know anything about seem sensible to delete. I would be grateful if you post here what you find out.

Thanks invitro, I just emailed them and I will clue you in when I hear anything.

That's the right thing to do.

Quote from Law:

"Speaking of which, we have purged a number of scores from the leaderboards, including many in the top 20 and the known duplicate identity scores.
If you are interested in seeing exactly what scores were cleared out, we have added a link in the leaderboards page to download a csv list of them.

If you believe we've incorrectly deleted a legitimate score, please let myself or support know and we'll review it.
"

Sorry was out for a bit. I don't know if you heard back from support but yes that was incorrectly deleted, we'll work on restoring it as soon as we can.

I still think leaderboards should be wiped on a semi regular basis (like annually), but that's just me. I honestly think there are only a handful of people that care about those top spots, because to most people they are plain out of reach. On top of that, the boards are cluttered with the dead scores of people who have long since stopped playing. By refreshing, it would invigorate some to actually try again while scraping off the husks so people could actually see who they are actively competing against.

I don't know. I've said it before, that even in arcades the score leaders would get reset every now and then, which would just make the people that held those scores rush back in to try and take it once more.

There are already fresh leaderboards every month and every week. Maybe there should be yearly ones added to the mix. I still think there's a place for all-time scores.

Just because Joe DiMaggio's 56-game hitting streak is out of reach in modern baseball, doesn't mean it should be wiped from the record books because it was done 74 years ago.

You don't wipe out records of Triple Crown winners because no horse has done it in 37 years either.

Etc.

For my part, I just want FS clears the leaderboards for Black Hole, Totan and Rbion.

A lot of scores on these tables leaderboards are the result of a bug (scores of another table posted on the wrong table leaderboard).

Alright Tann should be restored. Sorry some itchy trigger fingers somewhere :)

Yeah I dunno, I'm kinda on the fence about it. I definitely like having the all time epic scores available, but i would also really love to wipe everything out and start totally fresh.

For my part, I just want FS clears the leaderboards for Black Hole, Totan and Rbion
and scared stiff, if it was made more difficult. I'd definitely vouch for Totan, its too big a mess to even try to clean.

I´ve kicked myself out again from the visible web leaderboard with a good 533M score which seems to high for the filter system. Can you fix this one more time? Thanks.
