I had actually suggested using Kickstarter for acquiring costly liscenses that wouldn't be feasible-

I still think it's a good idea for tables like Guns N' Roses, where Farsight have stated that it would be to costly. If they were to setup a Kickstarter fund for such licenses, then those that contribute would receive the table and possibly some incentives as backers.
