Would love to see a handful of early 80s Ballys and Sterns- Skateball, Stargazer, Seawitch, Centaur (it's happening!), Eight Ball Deluxe, Fathom, Paragon, the list goes on...

If TPA could somehow get tap passing in the physics for the Ballys, my dreams would come true.

solid list. these names dont come up much!

Banzai Run, man I miss that machine.
High Speed
High Speed 2: The Getaway (with the songs featured on other tables, I don't think LaGrange will be that big a problem)
Haunted House
Diner
Big Guns

Omissions include games that have been spotted, announced, and released for TPA, as well as anything not by Williams/Bally/Stern(Sega/DE)/Gottlieb, and Revenge From Mars which runs on Pin2K and cannot be recreated.

This should give you an idea of what we can expect with little trouble. Of course, they can't ALL be included. Names in italics would likely need scripting.

I forgot to remove Cactus Canyon on both lists and Champion Pub on the Pinside list, but I'm too tired and don't feel like redoing the list just based on those. White Water is also probable based on one FS office pic, but it's not definitive yet.

In no particular order:

1. Safe Cracker - The redemption game idea might be a bit pointless in a virtual pinball game but it would be cool regardless.
2. Black Knight 2000 - I'm assuming this is a definite after original BK. Love that theme song.
3. TX-Sector - Severely underrated Gottlieb table with great music and the ball "warp" mechanic is fun.
4. The Getaway - If they can get past the ZZ Top issue this would be great.
5. High Speed - Probably a given.
6. Jack*Bot - A lot of people bash this for being sparse playfield wise and I have to disagree. The sheer amount of points you can get from a good Casino Run bank in far outweighs the playfield's sparse appearance.
7. Cactus Canyon - One of Williams' last tables and it has some good toys like the train. Kind of doubtful about this due to how few were made but it would be a great addition.
8. Banzai Run - Very unique with the dual playfields, I'd love to see this in there.
9. Earthshaker - This could totally have the rumbling effect be simulated by controller rumble/phone vibration.
10. Xenon - I couldn't think of one to finish this list off so this will have to do.

Cactus Canyon is confirmed. They even got one. You can see it in the making of Twilight Zone. Also, some of those Williams tables are not as much of a given as you think they are. Their agreement with Williams only allows them to do a limited number of their tables, which I think they are getting really close to approaching.

They're not going to just stop making Williams/Bally games, they just have a limit on the games they can make before renewing the license.

...

This is a very interesting list. Good thinking in compiling it. I'm hoping we can see many of these tables make it to TPA.

As stated, Cactus Canyon and White Water are already revealed to us. Fish Tales, Road Show and Diner, along with either High Speed or The Getaway are also likely to be due very soon I think, due to their "status". Hell, any table among the top 10 in the filtered IPDB list, apart from Safe Cracker are pretty much a given, really. I can't imagine they wouldn't follow up on Whirlwind with Earthshaker either.

Yes, but Pinball Arcade needs still be selling well enough to justify spending money to do more tables

I'm sure we'll get all the tables you've mentioned eventually, (maybe not Safe Cracker) with Cactus Canyon coming sooner rather than later since it has already been officially announced. Rather than have them all out very soon, I think it's more likely that the top tables from the filtered list Rudy put together will be spaced out over time to pace sales and keep interest up. I suppose it kind of depends on how long Farsight plans to keep going with the development of TPA after 2013.

Also, Farsight has shown no hesitation in digging up the occasional lower ranked table from the IPDB and Pinside top lists, so I'd expect a few of those here and there as a way of spacing out the tables with big name recognition. Not that that's a bad thing in my mind.

Filtered once again, this time only with tables that are new enough for emulation. Also removed White Water and Cactus Canyon. As with last time, all confirmed and released tables are omitted.

Remember, this is all just for fun and shouldn't be taken all too seriously.

Top 50 emulation-friendly unlicensed theme games on IPDB's top 300 list:
1. 1992 The Getaway: High Speed II by Williams
2. 1992 Fish Tales by Williams
3. 1991 The Party Zone by Bally

Is World Cup Soccer really considered a license issue? Is it actually possible to have the rights to call your particular event the "official" world cup of something that isn't a product of anyone? Does the table figure actual soccer players or something?

Some great tables in that list that I'd LOVE to see in TPA! Out of the top 18, the only ones I don't remember ever seeing or getting a chance to play are The Party Zone, Safe Cracker and Swords of Fury, but from what people have said here on the forums those ones sound really good too.
