It's a Boulder Bash!... :D Wooh Yaa ooOh ...Jaah woooOH ... Yaah Oooh!.... AAaah! woooOH Yeaaah! .. :( WoooH Yaah ...ooOh Aaah oh! ... Yaah woooOH

I guess I'm weird, but I actually get a kick out of that mode. I think it's funny when my kids ask what the heck is going on

Yeah, the compressed samples make that sound really nasty. The drowning guy makes up for it, though. HALP!!!

What I really hate: That idiotic gofer in Tee'd Off.

"You can't catch me, nananananana!
Did anybody teach you how to play this game?
Did anybody teach you how to play this game?
In case you didn´t know: You blew it!
Did anybody teach you how to play this game?"

And the main tune is irritating, brain-dead garbage. Even the DMD animations suck.

It´s weird, because I really like No Good Gofers, so I'm not against the concept of being teased, and NGG has great voice actors, their lines are funny and plentiful. But Tee'd Off is just... tacky. Even the backglass looks like a cheesy local newspaper caricature. I used to think that Lawlor was making fun of Gottlieb by taking their concept and turn it into an actually fun table, but I somehow don´t think he´s that sarcastic.

It´s literally the only table I find outright ugly. I can usually get a fair bit of entertainment out of every machine, I don´t get the hate for Harley for instance - it´s dumb, it´s easy, but I find it fun for a credit or two. But Tee´d Off, man... Well, at least it has Wagners Flight Of The Valkyries in it.

Oh, and the big advantage NGG has over Tee´d Off: You get to hit the gofers directly in the face, right there on the playfield.

Something that bugs me... when the machine announces "BIG POINTS" then gives you something quite measly. Like in T2, big points is usually 500,000 - 1% of the Super Jackpot.

I like a DMD when playing with friends. Fun to watch when someone else is playing.

Whenever I'm at the arcade with friends who don't know much about pinball I always show them a game on RFM. Out of all the machines I get the best reaction from that one. Because it's incredibly interesting for watchers as well as the player.

DMDs in general. They really don't do much for me. I like newer machines, but I could live without the actual DMD. All I need to see is my score. The rest is distracting.

Strange, I really like a lot of DMD work and find that they can add a lot of fun. Each to their own. Not that I'm against machines that only display the score, like them too.

Guess you won't be a fan of Wizard of Oz's LCD screen then? I think I could probably live without that.

I've played WoZ. It was ok, but the screen is quite over-the-top, IMO.

Chalk up another for video modes. I don't mind dmd's, backglass activity, full videos on the backglass ala Wizard of Oz, live dogs playing poker, or whatever....but I just can't stand stopping the pinball action to play a video game. It's silly.

Another thing is the jump rope in Champion Pub. Hate that thing.

I've been playing WoZ for quite a while now. I hardly ever look at the LCD. Except when watching others play. What really is a good thing is the toto and no place like home animations/films, as the GI is so turned of, the LCD reflects into the playfield, with nice duo tone colors adding quite good atmosphere to the whole thing :)

I really hate BoPs right outlane (on the real one), whirlwind in general and CFTBL's post left to the snackbar ;)
...and Tee'd off calling me a wh*re when shooting the right loop ;) just learned its fore, but for an Austrian it's hard to believe :)

Yes! If I wanted to play a video game then I'd pay a video game (yes I understand the irony of that).

I'll join your bandwagon of dislike for the jump rope thing on Champ Pub. "We now interrupt your pinball game to bring you THIS! Whatever this is!"

Unskippable DMD animations.
Cannons (yes, even on STTNG, but -especially- on T2)
Hurry-ups

add a few rational ones:

Actor photos slapped on
DMDs that never display your score or current ball for minutes on end because they are busy displaying animations and advertising their modes. Especially mode-animations that run all the way through a mode, should make sure to at least make room for displaying your score at the same time.

Btw, I really like DMDs. More than both alphanumerics, P2000, and LCD monitors.
