...Black Knight 2000 is more likely then Jackbot which just seems very similar to Pinbot, BK2000 is quite different to the original.

Jack*Bot is very, very different in terms of gameplay than Pin*Bot. Filling the light matrix to open the visor and start multiball is about the only similarity.

Funny, I had never heard of EBD until I joined up on here.

It only took a few seconds of watching EBD gameplay to make up my mind which is better. (That and noticing the same people who highly praise EBD are the same people who's idea of a "Classic" table is highly questionable.)

You can call CBW "the game MS took a stab at", while others call it the 3rd highest ranked table in its category, compared to the lowly 8th ranked EBD it it's own category. lol.

I'd say that speaks for itself.

All that it speaks to is that a lot of people like modern tables. Some of us have been playing pinball a little longer.

I think a lot of the love for some tables is nostalgia.

Instead of starting a new thread, I'll expand on this one about the guesses for season three. Now that FarSight has announced on FB that season three will be single table packs and I'm gonna guess that it's going to be ten tables with FT being the first. Now, what could the other nine be? Again, this is assuming season three will be ten tables.

My guesses.
BK2K
Cyclone
Junk Yard
Diner
HS II: The Getaway
RoadShow
Roller Coaster Tycoon
Monopoly
Tales From The Crypt

Note - I could see one of those two Sterns being substituted with BSD or BR.

Edit - With recent Facebook postings about EBD, I've removed it and replaced with RoadShow.

Going off of dtown's premise here is my season 3 prediction

Fish Tales - just included so I know I will have one right
Cyclone - I predicted this in another thread, so I'll stick with it
HS II The Getaway - we need one of the High Speeds
Earth Shaker - got a DMD nonDMD pattern going here
Who Dunnit? - I just really want this one
Black Rose - a poll winner plus it has pirates
World Cup Soccer - it is a World Cup year, so why not?
Eight Ball Deluxe - we waited long enough
Addams Family - yep FS found a way
Fathom - the depths of the blue end the season

I would only probably buy 3 of them tables.....which just strengths my feelings that FS have shot themselves in the foot with going down the single table route for season 3. Their sale figures will take a big hit, as if you dont like the table out that month your not going to buy it, least with 2 tables your more likely to like one of them!?

I know you're kidding about that last season, but anything on PS4 or hypothetical iPhone 7 would easily be doable on PC as well.

It entertains me to no end that people can even THINK that mobile devices can match PC hardware. PC's are a large form factor for a reason. Sure the iPhone7 might actually be able to display graphics that might look like the original XBOX, but they will always be at least three generations behind, in every aspect but resolution. Being on a screen as small as they are on is their saving grace.

High performance PCs, sure. Portable devices are rapidly catching up, though. It won't be long.

If my 5 year old gaming laptop is considered a high performance pc then sure you're right but no mobile device can push what it does. They aren't catching up they are moving forward, sure but PCs move forward just as fast if not faster.

An average gaming rig will always..always outperform mobiles. You always sacrifice performance when you need smaller components. No matter how small transistors get. They will take up space and larger components hold more circuitry.
