Maybe we need to create a Farsight "issues and complaints" sub forum. ;)
We've actually done that a couple of times - if you search for "Designated Complaint Area" you can find the threads - but both times the concentration of bile and venom threatened to break through their container and the experiment had to be abandoned.

And yeah, even just skimming through some of the posts in this thread...some of the participants wouldn't have made it very long back in the day. (And now that this thread has my attention...well, let's just keep it nice and civil from here on out, folks, and we won't have to worry about it.)

I'd think pairing Paragon and Xenon for a table pack would be a win-win situation. Anyone that cared about one will be enticed to buy, rather than simply the Xenon supporters (or Paragon, should it swing back that way).

And, (dare I say), Farsight could charge a premium price rather than the $2.99 that either table should be entitled to fetch singularly.

Sigh. There's never going to be a two-pack. FS were never really doing 2 full tables per month back in the PHOF re-release days of S1 and S2, plus since they went single-table-only in S3 the overall (technical) quality of the new tables has increased substantially.

Just because Paragon and Xenon are both far more basic tables than modern DMD tables, doesn't mean there's not work to be done. Xenon in particular will require scripting, unless they can hammer out the emulation issues with those late 70s/early-80s Williams (Gorgar, BK, et al). Paragon at least will be emulated since it's the same ROM as Centaur.

Hi - I saw this poll on Facebook and took the time to register because even though I'm admittedly a geek chick (so I'm told...), I remembered and loved Paragon when I was younger and this was worth the effort! Go Paragon! :)

Hey Guys! We will end the poll this coming Friday (1/9/15). The second poll allows the votes to be concentrated on actual contenders. :)

Prototype. Doesn't count. :p

I think the point was more that market value doesn't equal a fun table, and that Farsight has shown it's willing to make a TPA table based on a novelty with no lasting power. Of course my five year old thought Goin' Nuts was a blast, but his standards are SUPER low. >D

Meh. There's a niche market for anything. Plus, what's designed to appeal to little ones exclusively won't normally appeal to an adult. (Reference: Teletubbies) I would venture to say standards are a matter of perspective... which is why we have the controversy of Xenon vs. Paragon to begin with.

Further, I shared my pinball arcade with my granddaughter who is 6, and Go in Nuts was definitely a keeper. I expect this game was designed to be a "randomly flip til all the balls drop" game, so the technique and skill shots that we adults love so much don't really matter to the kiddos.

I want Paragon more than Xenon so I voted Paragon, even though I know Paragon doesn't have a chance.

IMHO, it would be nice to have another widebody in the mix.

Yeah, I bet.

I'm shocked.

Question? Will there be a Round 3 when Xenon wins for a second time? Just curious.

Yes! And it may even make it to the supreme court.

The second round gave everyone that voted for non contending tables the opportunity to have their vote count. It could still have an effect on the outcome. If we did a third round, it would be completely redundant. Some may argue that the second round was redundant, but paragon was pulling way ahead for a while there.

There were 341 votes in the original poll. 282 now. So that's another 60 peeps to come back and vote a second time - I wonder how many were "one-and-done" visitors to the forum though?
