Yeah, it wouldn't really work with a normal keyboard because you'd have to press two keys - one to flip the flipper up, and the other to "release" the flipper. I think it would be rather maddening to play that way.
Though it may beossible to do it, where does the funding come to implement it? How many man-hours would it cost to code and debug, and how do you justify this cost? That's the question (or questions).
They had a massive failure of some servers last week, and that's affected a number of things around the office (including their email, which is working again). This has set the PC build back.
I don't think you can do this on an iPad. I have the HDMI connector, and tried playing TPA on my TV and the game was jumpy. This also affected the physics, giving a lot more weight to the ball. I was looking to get a device to record gameplay (to aid in beta testing issues), and was bummed this...

Actually, I got off the phone with Bobby and he said he'll announce the winner very soon (I'm not saying when, so people can't accuse anyone of not meeting a deadline).
Yeah, I'm hoping they can fine-tune some stuff in future updates, like removing on-screen buttons if an iCade is detected (and actually detecting the iCade instead of an in-menu option).
