:) Well, eventually we all probably have to bow down to the likes of Toolinit on iOS and the PC crowd usual suspects like Tarek, Dizzer and VikingErik. I'm thoroughly hooked on AC/DC, although I would really like the nudging to be more trustworthy, had my shares of unfortunate drains.
Haven't checked that out, but I think it's all still very barebone with SPA. There is no data management (backup/restore), and probably not a functioning Game Center integration.
True, my iPhone 4s which can only handle iOS 9 still has it, but my iPad on iOS 10 does not. When I do a search I get a message that Gamecenter functionality still exists but that Apple removed the app. I can still reach the list from within TPA though. It's also accessible via Settings, just...
Sorry, bumped you to 5th with my 3rd place ;) This is a much deeper table strategy-wise than I thought, I'm having more fun with it than expected. Played the real table a couple of times and didn't really get it then. SPA version does feel very similar to the real table, including drain risk...
SPA iOS: you can only save one highscore when you reach a score that is in the default list. Afterwards it won't update anymore, even if it let's you input your initials. Example: my first Star Trek highscore was 30M, that was saved and is on the leaderboard. Subsequently I reached 200 and 300M...
Inputting initials is all fine, but in the mean time, my Star Trek scores are not going up on the correct leaderboard. I got stuck on a 33M score that somehow did stick, but my 270M is wasted or posted incorrectly elsewhere...iPad Air 2.
Nice post, indeed somebody had to! :)
Now stop reading if you want to enjoy the table, below I discuss a strategy that will kill the other gameplay for you.
About scoring: there is one gamebreaking strategy and that is to maximize the mega-bonus. This is the last mode on top of the "pyramid"...
The stuttering is also present on iOS, it's a repeatable effect whenever you shoot 'W' and the ball comes through the right inlane. It also happens at other moments. It seems connected to DMD animations.
Those W kickout stutters can be murderous, and I think they occur with a specific DMD sequence (the one that displays 'W' with electrical currents around it), if you hit 'W' again shortly after, it does not stutter.
And we can apparently find our competitors scores in the Centigrade leaderboard...
And Gladiator is not registering HOF points for iOS to complete your list.....some cleaning up to do after the holidays.... :)
Edit: and I was wondering why I got the top score on Dr. Who Regen with a good but not great game of 2.4B (after which Toolinit passed me)
I thought I had a nice score going with 800K+, good for a top 10 spot just quite recently. Now I see a ridiculous top score of 220M, way above the already crazy 12M by top player Tarek Oberdieck. Surely this can't be right?
Hi Toolinit,
No landscape yet, it was mentioned that for now it's only portrait. Are you serious though that you posted all those great scores on a mobile phone? That's crazy man! Hats off to your mad skills as they say. I had the top score on the Regenerated dr. Who table for one day and...
Having played the original dr. WHO extensively in TPA and real life (and liking the table a lot), I'm happy to report that I'm taking a liking to this original too. I'm not familiar with the TV series, so a lot of names and references probably get lost on me. I like the mix of original elements...
