Not even, just coming from Farsight:
"This is a known issue, and it has to do with the way the PS3 renders our game. Unfortunately, we can do nothing about it."
x2
It's also time to rename the topic: New Stern Pinball Arcade: AC/DC Kickstarer is ( live) /dead /cancelled / an unkown error...
Consoles player IDs are not linked to the TPA website (PSN and now Nintendo).
So, basically, you can't use the website leaderboards features (friends, score comparison, my scores) if you play on consoles.
As Steven said, the only way to check a console player scores, is to find his ID in a...
+1. Like it has been said before in this thread, that's really weird and illogical to make a Kickstarter for a table before the actual release of the game itself.
Let's imagine:
November 2016 - SPA is released without AC/DC, and the game is praised by everybody: great presentation, awesome new...
In "Flipper" physics, I'd include the "flipper rubber bounciness", but it seems FS didn't. On post-Xenon, it has been toned down, and the ball doesn't bounce anymore like a crazy rubber ball, when you try to catch it.
But it seems nothing has changed on pre-Xenon tables, even with the 3.0...
We're agreed on that. ^^
The purpose of the two MB videos comparison was to show there's strictly no difference between PC 3.0 and PS4/PS3 old physics on pre-Xenon tables. The ball acts the same floaty way on both devices, and drops at exactly the same speed.
So your theory was totally right...
Same in Europe, except PSN sales are until May, 19th.
5€99 each Star Wars Pinball (Core Pack, Balance of the Force, Heroes Within), 2€99 for The Force Awakens, 1,79€ for Rebels.
No the best deal (when I purchased them last year, it was 12,99€ for ALL the Star Wars tables in the same bundle).
Yep, as above, it's better to go directly in the PS Store.
For the ""all currently available tables purchased"" message, it does the same thing on PS3. In fact, it requires some time for the tables not yet purchased to be displayed. Just do some games on a table, and come back, and Voilà! S5...
Oh boy, thanks for this informative post, vikingerik. Your theory seems totally possible, knowing Farsight tendency to make false promises.
Well, if the the Physics 3.0 just adds live catch & tip passes on older tables, not improving the flipper rubber bounciness (like on the post-Xenon...
1st point:
When I meant "bounciness", I talk about the ball bouncing on a flipper, when you try to catch it.
With 3.0, the ball sticks more easily to the flipper rubber (which makes feel it heavier), with old physics, the ball itself bounces like a rubber ball. The poorly pre-programmed ball...
Oh... thanks for the clarification. I also understood that shutyertrap meant the full table image displayed on the right of the scrolling menu in the old UI.
So, this nice touch is definitely missing in the new UI. Sad. :(
EDIT: finally, shutyertrap was talking about the same thing (the full...
Well... the SPA announcement seems to be also the death act of the PS3/Vita support, as SPA is not announced on them.
But the worst news is that FS reveals the upcoming addition of Physics 4.0 in SPA (exclusively?).
Given the consoles didn't even have the physics 3.0 on the majority of tables...
EDIT: Nope. The very recent Wii U version has also Physics 3.0 on all tables (latest table released: Judge Dredd)
So far as I know, for Physics 3.0 on other devices than PC (and Wii U now):
PS4: starting from Xenon. Implemented also on Big Shot and The Party Zone.
PS3: starting from Cyclone...
You could slow down the video framerate, to better view the different levels of lighting.
A bit nitpicky, but why Dr Dude table? Not the fanciest table...
Seems so. Or at least, TPA new table releases will be more spaced. And given the fact that SPA will be a complete technical/graphics/physics overhaul, TPA will maybe look dated once SPA will be available. Not good, not good at all. Game over, man, GAME OVER.
Hmmm... You forgot what was the...
+1. Why not have kept the current menu design (colors, objects like the habitrail, the orange light arrows) and added the new presentation (tiles) and new features (with some resizing tweaks)?
These gloomy grey and flashy blue are uglier than the ugliest 90's DVD menu, and are so far from...
