Initial impressions are that it's a vastly improved Dr. Dude 2.0. Scoring and Mode stuff is kind of astoundingly good. There are several different things you can do that actually work well. Turning off sounds asap seems to be necessary for sanity. The theme is ridiculous and the table art is...
Yeah that's mainly why I noted the tournament settings. I know trying to hit realistic difficulty levels is hard and would probably result in weird stuff since they can't actually emulate reality, not to mention most people will want it a bit easier. I just needed to vent a bit since I was kind...
After a little playing on both gold and standard all I have to say is I really hope they seriously crank up the difficulty on the tournament settings whenever those come out, because the table is a total joke, like pretty much every kickstarter table so far. I guess T2 is sort of halfway ok...
Could be that. It also has an incredible amount of different stuff going on at any one point, so it could just be some rare confluence of modes or things that suddenly makes it **** the bed. Props to the designers anyway that even though the lock feature broke the ROM still managed to at least...
I ran this for the first time in a long while since I figure I might as well do the TOTW despite it not being a particular favorite of mine. Got up to 5.2B and then something in the ROM broke and lock shots would no longer register, and would in fact effectively freeze the game till attendant or...
I don't know why anyone would care even a slight bit, but my run for the tables is recorded here: http://www.twitch.tv/horsehammer/b/631110495. Go nuts I guess.
Same here. I can't really be assed to dig my camera out for this, so a recorded stream will have to do. I don't expect it'll be an issue anyway since I'm pretty bad at most of the tables with only two shots.
The bonus scoring display breaks apart pretty impressively in super long games. I't looks like a ROM bug instead of in the TPA software, so it might just be display glitching due to no one in the original coding team expecting people to go forever.
e: I think what happens it loses track of...
Banged out a test run today on gold mode. I don't think the strategy or gameplay differs that much, so here's my initial impressions. Shots seem a bit too easy overall everywhere. Extra balls are too easy to farm. Sounds and art seem pretty good overall, nothing to complain about there for me...
Most of this looks good. I disagree about the tilt warning thing, since that's not how things work in actual pinball tournaments. Instead, I propose the tilt is made a Lot more sensitive in tournament mode. I'm also not sure disabling all ballsaves at all times really does anything besides make...
I'm almost as excited for this as I am for DX11. It's like some sort of pinball christmas. Too much good news means I'm banking bear mountain or whatever erupts in the next month despite not even being a volcano.
e: Checked and it's bear lake. I bet it erupts anyway!
Those two aren't really popular tournament tables, but usually if there's no ROM switch on a given table for disabling or making something harder they'll just disable the switch that gives the award entirely on the table for the duration of the tournament. If I remember correctly the last one I...
I think the main thing is that at least on PC and the consoles the trillion point rollover isn't functioning, so it's been a bit suspect because of that. If he did it on a mobile it might be that it's unlocked on those and not the other platforms for some reason though. There's no real way to...
