I'm having issues with the game crashing every time if I try to go into options from the main screen. It's not a big deal since you can access the same stuff from inside the tables, but I'm wondering if anyone else is having this issue or if it's just me?
This seems like a fun idea. I've been waiting for DX11, but I might dust the game off for some fun competitive play. I'm a bit worried about how grindy it'll get though. If there are EMs or difficult tables in general that'll just extend the time you have on the forever slappers in the 12 hour...
They'll either be giftable copies in your steam inventory or they'll give you the keys to redeem them through steam. If I had to guess it'll be the latter since as far as I know table DLCs don't work as inventory items. I might be wrong about that though.
This doesn't seem entirely correct. I did the first tournament they had on PSN, which should have put me into gold. I played another one about 16 months later and I was competing in silver. There's definitely some kind of dropoff, but no idea how it works.
Both of the elvira tables are probably the easiest in the game to get into. I'd probably start with Scared Stiff. Lots of extra balls and ramps you could drive a truck through.
Congrats on the new #1.
I haven't played for a few months. Kind of waiting for DX11 on PC, but I might crack soon and get back into it. As far as invitro's leaderboard, I'm confident in the legitimacy of the top spots. I mean no one can ever know anything for sure, but the top three are...
For what it's worth I've played both PC and PS3 versions extensively and haven't seen any noticeable physics speed differences between the two. There are some other minor differences but those aren't related to the engine speed. I mean by default of course. If you start forcing different...
Bumping this because it's by far the biggest issue with the table. The leaderboards are completely bonkers because you randomly get extra balls during playing. I have no idea what causes it and I don't think anyone else does either, but it inflates scores and makes playing incredibly uneven. I'd...
It doesn't modify any original game files so I'm pretty sure it should be fine. Someone who knows for absolute sure can pipe in though. I know people who use it regularly in FPS games and stuff and I haven't heard of anyone ever getting banned for it anyway.
Here's a picture from my setup with GaussSigma 1.5 and GaussStrength 1.0
Those two seem to be pretty good for controlling the spread and intensity of the bloom. I'm sure there's other stuff to make it look better but it's a pretty decent approximation of a dark room setup now.
edit: Of...
They support mobile devices like ten generations back. I wouldn't expect DX11 on mobile devices for another three to four years, and that's even assuming the processor can handle both DX11 lighting and the ROM emulation.
Considering LCA is the only real rotten egg in the entire season I found the season to be well worth the price of the season (pro) pack, but your mileage may vary as with anything. Fish Tales and BSD are among the best released so far too, so I don't regret the purchase at all.
Thanks, I did manage to bang out quite a few tables for big scores I had been kind of baffled about previously. I have to say I've also had fun with our little rivalry on nining out Fish Tales, because I love playing that. Would be better overall if they fixed that and counted rollovers though...
The physics system is supposed to be the same. I think variable framerates and controls make up the difference in actual gameplay. And don't get me wrong there's definitely a difference even between PC and the consoles.
