I personally really don't want to see depth of field. It would make no sense because of the scale of the thing being shown, and I want everything easily visible when playing. Thankfully if it actually does happen it'll almost certainly be an option so I'd be ok with that. If someone wants to...
I'm honestly not sure. I'm not an expert on how things interact with the OS, I just know that I haven't run into a single game released in the last five years or so that can actually adjust gamma in windowed mode. Windows probably blocks most programs from messing with it automatically.
For the HRC, you can backhand the right orbit. It's a bit difficult, but might be slightly easier if you're not getting it on the forehand. Probably a safer return too if you don't get it.
I almost always have all game sounds and music off and listen to music on my headphones when playing. I find it's kind of necessary when doing longer games on tables since I can just zone out that way. The repetition of the clips or dings and dongs would drive me insane if I tried to run game...
I played around some more today and as a word of warning about the doubler. If the shot that would double the score would also start the ramp millions it seems the ramp millions override everything and you lose the score doubling and the doubler "mode". Making sure you're not on the letter O...
The washed out look is likely because games can't adjust gamma values in windowed mode. You can fiddle with your desktop brightness to make it look better if you want to run windowed.
Some of us are happy enough with the product that even with the minor flaws that pop up now and then we want to continue supporting Farsight in their endeavours. I mean I'm not interested in paying microtransactions for tables or whatever is going on with the GB plans, but there's no indication...
Considering removing the DE references is extra work Farsight had no reason to undertake, we can pretty much absolutely deduce that Stern either contractually required it or at least asked nicely, and Farsight can't really afford to piss off Stern, so the end outcome is the same. I don't really...
I love EM tables and would be completely happy if they only released EMs forever, but Farsight is a company and they actually need money to stay running. EM tables don't sell as well as modern ones so they don't really have a choice if they want to keep making the product in general.
e: I mean...
Pro:
-Amazing sound package, right up there with TNG and Centaur
-Really nice art design.
-Really nice table design.
-Satisfying shots, pretty good flow
Con:
-Ruleset is a bit 80s
-Scoring isn't super balanced, although far from the worst
Overall it's not in the shortlist for the top table in...
The reason it isn't in the list yet is that the score was made sometime this month, and I'm assuming since the last list was posted. I also think it kind of makes his other scores suspect as well unless there's some other explanation.
www.vpforums.org has a pretty bogus score of 71 billion on BK2K. Probably a good candidate for scrubbing off the list.
Sorry about the code entry, I don't want his name to throw out links
I think it's probably actually easier to "cheat proof" than either iOS or android, just from what I've seen. Not that there really is such a thing in the first place. The consoles are fairly secure I suppose due to the totally draconian control MS and Sony have over their systems. Other than...
