Going ahead and bumping this up as a reminder that friends leaderboards are still fairly busted for a number of people and it's been close to a month since the last time. Any word on this?
I don't really care about DX11 to start yelling either way, but that's kind of a problematic attitude. Focusing on whatever new platform (PS4, now Xbone) and using that as an excuse to leave released platforms to get the scraps later or whatever your post seems to imply feels a little bit scummy...
Not that I know what is happening really but that's not really a very sound logical chain considering a majority of their platforms can't handle anything remotely similar to DX11 lighting effects. Of course they're going to try and pretty the old style lighting system up too when possible.
This along with platform differences is the main reason I'm still waiting for the steam friend leaderboards to become fully working. I mean having friended someone is no guarantee of anything, but I'm about 50 times more likely to trust the scores of people posting on these forums than random...
Personally I think they should keep the default to use the factory settings on tables like I assume it's currently set up. It's the most true to life. A three extra ball limit seems pretty arbitrary and impacts a variety of tables in different ways. You could still probably bang Ripley and TZ...
I don't even know what this is about, but I've definitely drained up a ton of games after sinking a number of hours in. I can't stop and come back another day when playing on the PC or a console since there's no saving, and eventually it just gets too tiring or boring. This is highly dependent...
Updating since behaviour changed a bit since last patch. I can now see all friends and their scores on some tables. On some tables it still shows none for friends, and I still can't ever see my own score in the friend section even if the others are visible. However, the leaderboards seem a lot...
PS3 at least used to show all non-PS3 scores as (mobile) back then. This was before steam though, and xbox360 always had leaderboards separated from all other platforms as far as I know.
I think I still have top 20s on a decent number of tables. I haven't played much in a while though since I'm still waiting for the friends leaderboards to get fixed on steam. Once that happens I'll probably try to crank up some tables I've neglected.
I'm still probably the proudest of having #1...
Yeah I remember when the ToM scores got mixed in and dunked my score down into wherever. The annoying thing is that FS sanitized my score along with all the mobile ones out of the website leaderboards. Oh well, it's pretty easily attainable now with the gate change anyway, just takes a lot of...
This is a pretty good idea and I'm on board. I'd like clarification if a week from now is when the first week starts or is this coming week the AFM week?
No, My Score and Overall shows normally. When I go to friends it shows none for most and a handful of friends for some tables, but never my own score. I'm just shooting randomly here really but could the problem be somehow because my steam/farsight username has a space in it?
e: Probably not I...
Oh my god. I am so happy. Thank you thank you thank you thank you. You're the best, Mike.
e: One small niggle actually is that it seems you don't see your own score in the friend leaderboard.
I hate to be a party pooper but why is it that we don't get any kind of patch notes? It would be nice to get info from FS on what changed besides the obvious new table.
You'd be surprised at how often demo versions of games are made from pre-release game builds, in some cases from months earlier. I think it's mainly because coding in the demo restrictions and other necessary stuff takes a while and they usually need to have it out before or at the very least...
