So I bought season 4, since the Jack●Bot conversion came out beautifully well. Looks like a good chance for me to stream some, since this is the one time I'll ever be noodling around on these tables rather than high score attacking. Come watch me learn the season 4 games.
I'll start around 8...
There was, but consensus opinion was that it looked more cluttered than helpful. And it would add confusion, putting up Monster Bash when someone used MB to mean multiball, or the wrong table for one of the overloaded abbreviations CP or SS or WW.
And yeah, I always use a word when it fits...
Haven't bought season 4 just yet but will in a day or two. I was making sure the Jack*Bot conversion came out well (unlike HRC which sank season 3 for me) and it did. BTW, you can totally reach Casino Run in the unpurchased trial version.
HS2 has the wizard mode in Red Line Mania which makes...
Here's one: On Teed Off, right before you're about to lose your score to a failed Skins double attempt, kill the game to keep your score. :)
Same could go for a Champion Pub cash fight.
But in general, yes, the ability to just end a game with credit for your current score is sorely needed, to...
You don't press it just once. You keep spamming it as much as you can while it's flashing. Do that during the casino game animations and eventually it will work to see what it does.
It's been out all of three days. Give me some time. :)
The unexpectedly hard bit is how kickouts from the game saucer can go SDTM. I think I've figured that out, though - always slap save with the LEFT flipper even though it looks like the ball might be closer to the right.
You think HS2...
On a real machine that allows it, you press it to use a credit to buy an extra ball at the end of a game. A few Williams games had this feature, with a dedicated EB button for buyins. I think No Fear and maybe Indiana Jones or Judge Dredd. Jack*Bot is the only one to also use the button for a...
So I gave this a shot as the free trial table. I still hate the unshootable right orbit. Besides that, I think there's another shot that may be impossible: the slot machine lane (when the ramp is all the way down) from a catch on the right flipper. It's easy from a running shot or as a...
Well, not in a TotW tournament with extra balls disallowed, of course.
And yeah, this table is annoying. I have a high tolerance for repetitive dialogue - Teed Off and High Roller Casino don't bother me at all - but man does this one grate. At least it'll pass quick in the tournament.
Yeah. I realize I'm doing weird things to the ranking system with spotty participation, but it is kind of amusing to see how the results shake out. :) I'm also likely to miss the next one, probably traveling for both the 5/23 and 5/30 weekends.
There isn't, and this is true to the real machine. The timing is deliberately set up so that it starts on Extra Ball but will click away from that before the ball gets through the pegboard. It happens a little more often on a real machine where the pegboard isn't as bouncy so sometimes the...
I'm done too. Did play Whitewater, without grinding Whirlpool Challenge. (Didn't play BK2K). I was quite satisfied with two of my scores and quite disappointed in one, but I'll keep the suspense up without saying further. :)
Understood, makes sense, and apologies if I'm being a pain. The downside is that players pooled with such 0's get free points, so up to you whether that or the recordkeeping is the more important concern.
The one way to make WW interesting is to ban Whirlpool Challenge, maybe I'll do it that...
Actually, changed my mind, sign me up for Bride along with ToM. I haven't played it in quite a while and could go long enough to get the 8-9 billion shots. (Whirlpool Challenge is still out though.)
Same here, I'm not sure whether that 91B on Teed Off seems legit. 91B is just on the edge of plausible, since EBs are unlimited, but actually going infinite is pretty hard since you have to complete the mode list every ball (like Funhouse's mirror) and also make the extra ball hurryup shot...
Scoring is exponential within each ball, as ball time increases both the bonus-X and bonus total, so the result is proportional to ball-time squared (until you hit 99x.) There isn't anything progressive throughout the game however.
The boring way is to ignore all the monster shots and shoot only for the scoop, since ejects from that are trappable, and even a miss is usually a slow trickle towards or into the spinner which is also easy to recover as well. Let the scoop do all the work of starting the monster modes for you...
