Latter-day DE for me. I'm pretty well acquainted with Lazer War. That game is fairly mediocre IMO but I do love the insanely cheesy photo on the backglass. I feel like it wouldn't be all that exciting in digital form, though.
Wow, I thought we had it bad on iOS. The PS4 version was all messed up on release, too, but they fixed it inside two weeks. I can't believe the Steam version doesn't have two out of three of the tables. And the best ones, too.
As far as not testing the game goes, I really don't understand how...
Oh, if you were expecting that kind of overhaul then you were always living in a dream. I think most of us were hoping for improved lighting, maybe a few little fixes and touch ups.
They are literally the same tables insofar as they haven't reworked them. I mean, they look identical, too.
Alvin G's Garage Band seems to be the next table, thus breaking the Premiere streak for now.
I can't say I am very impressed with Gladiators so far. Like many Premieres it is considerably less fun in TPA than it is in real life.
I've never played or even seen an Alvin G. table. I can't be mad because at least it's not a Premiere. It's also a new manufacturer for TPA, which is cool, and apparently one of their more popular games.
That said, I really hope we won't be looking at 80% (or *gulp* more) Premier and Alvin G...
The are the same. Exactly the same. The only difference is that the older tables have the 3.0 flipper physics. I don't think that makes them worth rebuyung, especially since they might get updated in TPA eventually. The Steam version of TPA has 3.0 flipper physics on every table already, so they...
Just fyi, my motivation making a topic about this bug was more about warning other would-be buyers. I read the forums and I didn't see mention of the bug. It should really be on Farsight to acknowledge these things on Facebook and Twitter.
Anyway, thanks for the workaround. I guess you can just...
Pleasantly suprised to see the Gladiators Pack and the Dr. Who MoT pack in today's update!
(Btw, TPA's FB page said Gladiators was going to be delayed on TPA's 99 cent app. Guess not, Merry Christmas!)
A quick run through the trial has me suitably impressed! This is a far better and more...
Not a double pack, just a double release. It's available on iOS right now, just played the trial version of Dr. who: Master of Time. It's quite interesting! The level of work here is far, far better than what we saw with Ghostbusters.
Now, here's the sticky wicket: I think there is a pricing...
I don't know what on spec means but I also don't understand why you are defending Farsight. The table wasn't free. As always, I bought the table to support Farsights efforts, lacking though they may be, and to support pinball in general. I had no reason to assume such a major bug was there...
I can only verify this for Star Trek so far, but both times I got a high score I was unable to do anything on the screen in which you enter your initials. Tapping does not scroll, the action button does not select, there are no buttons to exit to menu. You are stuck there. You have to...
That seems very anticonsumer.
"We'll take you $10/table now and you can wait fretfully for us to fix the glaring problems."
I think the right thing to do is wait to release it rather than knowingly charge for a broken product.
UPDATE:
I bought Star Trek because I love that table and this looks much better. The action button is still squished and too high :(
There *is* some new lighting effects I've never seen on TPA!
When the ball passes over the mode lights they reflect off the surface of the ball! Looks really...
Surprised that Mustang is free*
Kind of a blessing in disguise. I get to play Star Trek and AC/DC and save $10 for all the holiday sales on iOS and PSN.
*this month
First impressions, based on Mustang: this looks *terrible* (iPad)
