I know you can adjust the deadzone for the DS3 controller with betterDS3. I'd be sort of surprised if there was nothing similar for adjusting controller stuff for the 360 pad on the PC. I can't say for sure though, sorry. Maybe try 360CE? Stuart Webster already said that he adjusted the...
I'm honestly kind of surprised how many people pick T2 over pinbot. I can't figure out that table at all. It seems like it has less depth than some EMs somehow. Different strokes I guess.
Throwing a recommendation to BetterDS3 if you're using a ps3 controller. It's really very configurable and I've been happy with it. Motioninjoy is harder to use and has stupid ads popping up everywhere.
It's because the event camera only handles specific events. It did fix the Dr. Dude multiball problem/Bride backdoor cam problem and a few others, but I think the plunger camera type is completely separate. I guess FS could add a plunger cam toggle too, although gameplay wise it would be better...
There are some tricks to ball control I can't remember offhand, but try holding the left or right flipper up while moving the ball. One of those makes the control much stronger for whatever reason if I remember right. Maybe it was both flippers at once. Dunno try it out the flippers definitely...
Hate to break it to all the 1812 wanters but it's a pretty boring table sadly. The sound package is kind of fun but there's not much else to it. On the other hand Victory is much better than I expected, albeit a bit repetitive. Well I mean these are just peronal opinions anyway maybe I'm just...
Medieval Madness v Cirqus Voltaire - Great tables. CV wins for being a bit more challenging in some ways.
Elvira and the Party Monsters v Centaur - No contest. Elvira is booooring, and Centaur is one of the best tables in every way.
Theatre of Magic v White Water - Magic
Creature from the Black...
The legions of cheapasses will still be there for summer sale though. Tanking your price very soon after release is something only (very few) massive companies and really badly failed games tend to do.
Also, if what was discussed in the thread in general forums was true and the licensed tables...
Creature from the Black Lagoon v Champions Pub - CFBL has some serious scoring flaws, so fisticuffs takes it.
White Water v Gorgar - See above. Also that white water music. So good.
Black Hole v Medieval Madness - I hate to even have to make a choice here, but Black Hole is just so stylish it...
The plunger does behave pretty erratically. The only thing I can really say that helped me is wait for the ball to settle in the plunger lane before touching the plunger. If you pull the plunger back before the ball is against the plunger it won't give any real momentum when you release.
I think the reason it hasn't been talked about much here is because a lot of the players played other platforms and just kind of resigned to certain things happening occasionally. They've fixed a decent amount of the problem areas where balls vanished from the geometry, but there are still some...
I know this isn't ideal, but you can just remap the flippers to the upper shoulder buttons instead of the triggers till you figure something else out or farsight takes a look at it.
PFX2 came out 6 months before TPA did, and that average gain just means they had a humble bundle sale where they probably didn't make a whole lot of money but gained users. So if TPA was a part of humble bundle where you could get everything for $1 yeah they'd probably skyrocket their user...
I'd just like to note that I do kind of believe it is worthwhile, simply because it's really easy for Farsight to do, and I'm sure a bunch of people would get more enjoyment out of it than I would. I just think it's a complex issue and wanted to clarify my views on why.
That's a pretty big claim. The difference is something that was designed to work that way from the outset and something that wasn't. There's no mess involved either way.
