Bug Left orbit doesn't register correctly

Yes, both the AFM and TZ ones happen to me too on PC. I caught both in action on my stream a few months ago. Haven't seen the White Water or NGG incidents, though haven't played either in a long time.

Bug Left orbit doesn't register correctly

This happens to me on PC too. Seems to have been caused by a recent update. I saw it happen a lot in the last month but don't ever remember it before. I'd say it's even more than 40%, feels like close to 75% of shots don't lock properly. Sometimes enough in a row fail that the ROM thinks the...

What tables did you play today?

What tables did you play today?

Flight 2000 does last an hour for me. :) Took back the #1 score on it today.

    Done with Cactus Canyon

I think it behaves the same across platforms, but the difference is that the easy nudging with a PC keyboard or console controller makes the slap-save so easy you don't even think about it. On touch screens that save is a lot harder.

    460M...and crash

All mobile devices are notorious for problems with TPA when going into power saving or sleep modes or sometimes even just switching apps. Play on a desktop PC if you want rock solid reliability for long games. I've left games paused for up to four days at a time with no issues.

    Name that game.

Damn, I actually knew that one, played it at the Vegas PHOF earlier this year. Why'd you give it away?

    CFTBL: Tactics and Strategies

Yeah, you're right. My problem wasn't so much not hitting KISS, as not trying enough in the first place. Instead of pounding KISS like I should, I'd get distracted by the piddly stuff in the combo collect and Move Your Car and Mega Menu and the dozen variants of ramp million modes and all the...

    Tips for 5 way combo?

Try nudging, perhaps straight up, while the ball is in the inlane below the slingshot on the feed from Insanity Falls. That may slow it down or shake up the physics enough to get a semi-controlled shot at No Way Out.

    Tips & tricks

I've tried that, but I rarely manage to get the jackpot over 200M before missing the captive ball and losing control and draining. Yes it's possible to whack it infinitely, but the execution is harder than you think. Regaining control after a miss is a lot easier in single ball play than with...

    Table Pack #28 Speculation

I remember HRC being pretty good, though it's been about 10 years since I played it. Jon Norris? I thought it was a Keith Johnson game, which I've always liked a lot. Keefer's games have a certain flowy elegance to the rules, where you always feel like the machine is helping you along rather...

    T2 strategy thread

Well, it's really collect Extra Balls as often as possible. You get one from each trip up the escape route and another each time you reach 8x bonus. Lighting the escape route is easy - bring the ball to a catch on the right flipper, shoot at the rightmost center standup target, and the ball...

Bride of Pinbot: Tactics and Strategies

I don't know how tablets nudge, but I think the left side without nudging reversed, yes. Leftwards meaning whatever pushes the table to the left. Like you are trying to knock a ball away from a right outlane (say Whitewater's boulder garden) back towards the center. I can't hit 200k every...

Pinball article posted over at Wired.com

I'm skeptical that there's actually that much of a resurgence. We never went away or anything. Seems like the mainstream media joints notice once a year that pinball and its tournaments still exist, and write just about the exact same article every time, complete with the same lyrical imagery...

Request Any chances to see more Stern tables in TPA?

What draws casual gamers into TPA is whatever table they happen to remember from their childhood pizza joint or Time Out in the mall or college rec center. Addams is this for quite a few people, just because there were so many produced and on location forever. It will sell fine to mainstream...

    RBION Tactics and Strategies

No, you don't score the same jackpot value multiple times. Although you might think you did if say one was 6M and another was 3M with 2X Scoring running which will say 6M. You collect the 6 distinct SJs and then the 7th starts Frog Frenzy in all known cases. I'm not sure about SJ unlighting...

What is the most overrated table in TPA?

The perception of Whitewater is weird. There's quite a few things wrong with the table. Deadly bumper area worse than TZ. Wildly unbalanced scoring, where multiball jackpots are the only thing that matter, especially at 5x. Annoying lock mechanic, hit Lite-Lock on that nasty tight timer...

Going for the Genie 3M has improved the rest of my scores

Yes, same here. Those challenging tables really drilled into me to always stop and catch and control the ball. Tight play, careful shots, no risks. Genie and Gorgar were probably about equal drills for me, and made me better on every other table that isn't Central Park. Never flail a shot...

Season 4 Kickstarter Poll- Most Wanted

Yeah, should we consider that Metallica and AC/DC are probably out of reach by the technical emulation concerns? Anyway TSPP will easily win this by a landslide.
