Zen Pinball FX3 Williams Pinball Volume One

I absolutely want unaltered tables as my #1 choice, but that's me as a fan and not as a person running a business. So long as there is actual thought put behind a decision and it not just being a knee jerk reaction, I respect that. I didn't take issue with FarSight festering tables simply...

    Farsight must counterattack!

To the west a bit of San Bernadino is a city called Fontana, that we used to refer to as Fontucky. Once the freeway got built through there, it sprang to suburban life, but the name still sticks.

    Farsight must counterattack!

You're not wrong. At the very least they'd need to come off the mountain, but the cities at the base aren't exactly attractive destinations either (we SoCal locals refer to that area as the Land of the Dirt People). If they moved into Orange County or near Pasadena their talent pool would be way...

Is this it for Farsight / Pinball Arcade?

and then immediately put up a banner saying "everything must go! Going out of business sale!" I'm not kidding when I literally saw a furniture store do that. Piano stores are almost as bad with this sales tactic.

Zen Pinball FX3 Williams Pinball Volume One

So don't buy the other tables. Pinball FX3 is a pinball platform. Think of it as Steam for pinball. The beautiful thing is you can join tournaments on your PS4 that are hosted by people on Steam and vice versa. Steam users get to compete against all consoles. The hope is that a mobile version of...

    Farsight must counterattack!

FarSight has talented people, just not enough bodies. When Mel said that if demand on Zen pumping out tables gets to much they’ll just hire more people, I thought there’s where FarSight never stepped up. They were thinking too small, too financially conservative. Zen realizes you have to spend...

Zen Pinball FX3 Williams Pinball Volume One

I do gotta say that Elvira covered up just turns her into Morticia Addams or Lilly from the Munsters. The cleavage is so much a part of her character, she simply would no longer be Elvira without it.

Cabinet mode in 4K v 1080p a real game changer

I can watch Amazon shows in 4K, but I hardly notice a difference while the quality often dips to SD due to streaming. I may have 70 mbps download, but apparently that’s not enough. So I stick with the 1080p stream.

    Zen Remastered Williams Announcement!

I’m hoping that now the Zen mode version is out, and plays easier like a standard Zen table, that will take care of the voices that have moved the tuning in the wrong direction for classic mode. In the private beta, before the public beta, the ball was even wilder. Granted, the flipper tricks...

    BlahCade Weekly Zen Tournament

But since we’re playing classic mode, you don’t have to worry about leveling up anything. So just squeeze in a few games and still play SW!

Cabinet mode in 4K v 1080p a real game changer

I never get to let my TV show off it’s 4K abilities. No player, only own one 4K disk because it came with 3D version too. That I do often, as I just got my UK imports of 3D versions for Black Panther and Infinity War. A lot of 3D also displays the IMAX version as opposed to the standard...

Zen Pinball FX3 Williams Pinball Volume One

No cigar? Whelp that’s it, table is unplayable now. If you listen to the podcast, you’ll hear that there is more to consider than just the ESRB, but also other companies Zen works with *cough Disney cough*. It’s not a finished topic, what and where to censor, but let’s save our ire and look at...

Are we sure Doctor Strange wasn't wearing the Infinity Gauntlet because that table kicked a lot of butts! 1. TheHatchet18 143 million 2. NimbleLee 93 million 3. THELORD1976 63 million 4. Xanija 60 million 5. shuytertrap 32 million This week we're gonna play Earth Defense, a table I've...

    Zen Remastered Williams Announcement!

What, you didn't hear? Zen just got absorbed by Activision. You will now be charged for every flip after your initial 50 per game. You also only get one ball for free, with the other 2 being given on the energy bar system. Before each plunge, you also have to watch a 60 second video. Even if...

BlahCade #149: Zen Studios Interview With Mel Kirk

In this podcast, we have a huge chat with Mel Kirk from Zen Studios. Nothing is really off-limits in the interview and we use that to our advantage to ask questions that have been burning a hole in our minds for years now. There's nothing more to say really, apart from getting on with the job...

    Zen Remastered Williams Announcement!

thought of one other nice things about all this... When you log into Steam on a different computer, it's going to still remember all your progress achieved throughout Zen rather than starting you fresh AND deleting all your data on the other device (grrrrrrr, seriously TPA)

The Single Player mode has a different leaderboard than the Classic mode. Currently Classic shares leaderboards with Tournament though. I would really like that to get it's own leaderboard too.

    Zen Remastered Williams Announcement!

That's what I'm saying though, they are the same physics as prior Zen original tables. This is a good bridge for those who have only ever played Zen and had no interest in 'real' tables. If you ask me, the Zen mode is right on par with TPA, especially since they both share the same flipper angle.
