TSPP is regarded as one of the most deep tables as the ruleset goes, maybe even surpassing LOTR. I played it on VP a lot and had a great time with it. Never played it IRL though. Licenses are a matter of taste, but I think a lot of people like the Simpsons, judging from the time the series is...
I think as business model season passes are a good idea, it provides Farsight with more dependable income and I think their track record up until now should inspire enough customer trust that they would sell well enough, even at slightly discounted prices. The flexibility to buy individual...
Aside from being impressed that you got to your score without playing much MB, I can understand the difference then, because I played those 9 Monster MB's AND did the wheel 4-5 times. Which also means a lot of Coffin and Crate MB (5 each at least, Coffin probably more because it's easier to...
My 3.5 hours is a guestimate because it was spread out over 3 days of playing and I didn't keep track exactly. So it may have been 4 or even 4.5, but definitely not 8 hours (my GF would have something to say about that! :) )
You pose an intrigueing question: can a table with quite even scoring...
Good addition, will edit post to incorporate the plunge to Spider Hole. Getting the maxed skillshot at 2.5M is no chump change either though, although if weighed against progression on the wheel and specific rewards, it may indeed be better to go for the Spider Hole. About that special: does it...
Well, I have been binge-playing Scared Stiff to get those 1000 HOF Points and waddayaknow, I pulled out a respectable 1.9B game out of the hat. If not for daily life distractions, this one could easily be higher but as it was, the game took place in spurts over 3 days, probably around 3,5 hours...
I'll consider this advice.... :)
It's probably a difficult thing to really prove leaderboard hacking and/or glitching aside from the very obvious. It's sad that some people derive pleasure by claiming scores they didn't achieve. I would think that scores that are very obvious out of reach for...
Hi Invitro,
Thanks for your work, nice to see the list updated, I really like the second version. I'm mostly content when I get my 1000 HOF points on my iPad TPA, so I guess being at place 73 in this list goes nicely with being above average on a lot of tables. This list has the potential to...
There is no real skill shot, but there's an extra ball lurking in progressing the rollover bonus multiplier, besides you know, the bonus multiplier itself....:)
I played this one during college, really often in VP and a couple of times now recently at a gameroom. For me the well of souls multiball was my first real OMG moment in pinball, I didn't see it coming and it blew me away. So my fondness for this table is also a bit nostalgic. When I played it...
I'm seeing you in my rearview mirror, coming up fast on that Harley..... :) I can't believe you almost finished Milwaukee! I can't fathom how to hit that Harley target 24 times in 80 secs. In reguler Harley MB I sometimes will hit it 6 times really fast, but then have another round without any...
This one may also qualify as about pinball: http://ipdb.org/machine.cgi?id=2156
And this one although a bit of a stretch: http://ipdb.org/machine.cgi?id=2579
Funny how a pinball table about pinball starts to feel really "meta" if you think about it longer.... :)
I learned it in stages because it's a bit long to remember and hasn't got the nice symmetry to it like the STTNG video mode (except that lonesome R at the end). When I got automatic at say the first 6-8 pedestrians, then I focused on the rest. I do it exactly like AntonR. Pedestrian number 7 is...
:) Too true, I have my best games if I don't look at the score, and have been known to blow 3 balls in a row when close to surpassing my previous best....but you are in a better position now, because the video mode can be mastered. I only miss it 1 or 2 times per game now, and can do the pattern...
I bettered my previous HS to 1B and change, I reached about 5 cities after the one Milwaukee MB I played, so this may qualify as a long game. Didn't encounter the bug you described and haven't before. I'm on iPad 2 and iOS 6.
I played some TOTAN and thought I saw two changes: definitely a wider and therefore easier accesible left orbit. On the other hand, the left outlane, and maybe the right one too seem also wider and are more brutal. But I could be wrong because I played a lot of HD 3rd edition before trying TOTAN...
Well I'm working my way through the seasons to up my scores to HOF level, so I'm bound to encounter the Dude again. I'm tempted to stay in season one long enough to get Big Shot to 1000 HOF points, just to avoid to having to deal with dr. Dude again.....:)
Hi VikingErik,
How does this differ from the full strength nudges on iPad that are also directional (left/right/up/diagonal left up/diagonal right up)? The difference I can think of is that fixed nudge keys that are minimally distant from the flipper keys can be pressed more quickly and more...
