The first post of this topic seems to be getting a little bit messy and cluttered with the growing list of bugs. I want to clean it up and try to represent each problem with more detail so that the issues with this game might finally get some attention. I am going to make a base table that...
I am not really excited for this table at all, especially not enough for me to even be remotely interested in supporting a Kickstarter. I have played this table a decent amount and with the very easy and non-variable play of most tables in TPA, it will get really boring really fast. I would...
I find that a lot of the posts in the game perform the similar way, especially the top posts on the slingshots. On some tables, just touching those are an instant drain even when you hit on the very top.
Platform: PS Vita
Table: MM
Bug description: Flippers are too far apart resulting in a gap that is much larger than the real table.
Platform: PS Vita
Table: MM
Bug description: Slow and jittery frame-rate when playing in landscape cameras 1,2, and 3.
Steps to reproduce: Play the game in...
1) Platform Specific Issues: The PS Vita version of the game has had bugs like the flipper game on MM, slow framerate on a few tables, and a completely lack of transparent textures on BoP for several months now. There have been numerous patches, but all they do as add new tables that seem to...
I do regret purchasing PHoF on the 3DS since it looks pretty bad and doesn't run well either. If they wanted to get the game running at 60 FPS you would probably be left with a gray ball in a box with maybe 1 flipper. The 3DS has been a total let down for me.
Could you please take a screen shot of it (press home and start at the same time) and send me a link to it in a PM? I will include it in the other topic in the Art Section where hopefully the proper developer will see it.
The flipper lag is still a problem for me too so I just don't play on the PS3. It is minor enough that if you have only played the PS3 version I think you could eventually get accustomed to it, but switching between the 360 and PS3 version shows how much smoother and responsive the game is on...
Another case of lines dividing the playfield up into squares.
Section of the ramp after being diverted is clearly missing, but still results in functional play.
Half-circle rings are missing from all wire ramps.
Full-circle rings are missing from the wire ramp leading into whirlpool...
Mini-playfield in the upper right corner is not transparent.
Two-path ramp on right side is not transparent which completely blocks all view of the right lanes as well as the lights above them; this is detrimental to the gameplay.
The artwork on the shuttle ramp is either missing or terrible...
I will try to document all of the graphical problems I have noticed in the game accompanied by screenshots showing them as best I can. All screenshots have been taken on the PSVita and are a good representation of what is actually being seen when you play the game. If a table is not included...
The worst part is the most of the tables are in a playable enough state that you can see the massive potential the game has. Honestly, all the PSVita version of this game needs is a really thorough refining of the graphical elements as well as the removal of the bugs and inconsistencies...
From that link it looks like it is. They have a list of iOS games that are currently compatible and a section in the FAQ that describes how to connect the device to an iPhone or iPad. But that first image that appears is rather misleading since they aren't listing iOS in the compatible devices.
The only real response at this point should be asking for a version of the game is this meant for the Vita and takes advantage of the features of the system. This current implementation seems like a horrible port of a phone version of the game, especially considering that they are simulating a...
After seeing what the system is capable of with the new Need for Speed game, TPA is not using the system to its full potential. This fact coupled with the massive number of graphical bugs like the lack of transparency on BoP and the grid like seams seen on the playfields of several tables...
