Okay, so it looks like you are right! I initially clicked a Facebook link, where it mentioned the kickstarter, and that link landed me on thestresscube.com so that's why I thought it was the crowdfunded one. Looking at various posts, it looks like the Fidget Cube hasn't even shipped yet. Gonna...
What's interesting is, I've seen a few different sites with these, all doing various color patterns, but the Stress Cube is the only one that seems to go into details about it. It also had a kickstarter to get it up and running. Because of how in depth their site was regarding the product and...
It's a newish engine. Whether the new engine has been fully implemented or not, I don't know. The plan though was for SPA to run on a new engine. I'd bet the way it is set up now is so it can just be dropped in when the time comes, as well as other features. The infrastructure is there, just...
First off, I've met many on the FarSight team. I've visited their studio twice up in Big Bear. There are some really great people working there, a few who are genuine pinball fanatics. I believe they have less than 35 people on staff, which is insane for the amount of work they have each month...
Remember, Stern Pinball Arcade does not run on the same specs as The Pinball Arcade. For years FarSight has said that they'd need more processing power to do modern Stern tables, and now that they are, they do! Same goes for mobile, where with iOS it's only going to work on devices that can run...
I know FarSight has expressed interest in ColorDMD, but yeah it'd take a new agreement with WMS to make happen. Lot of speculation about FS and whether or not they are negotiating a new contract with WMS, so who knows, maybe that becomes a talking point!
I played it with Norman at Arcade Expo 2.0 last year, and it was fun. Only thing that won't get translated to TPA is the flipper mechanic the real table uses. There are times when it pushes back on the flipper buttons and you have to push really hard to get them to work. I'd never experienced...
That's a shame because I truly believe the Alien pack is Zen's best to date. Still, I also agree if you haven't cared for what has come to this point, you probably are better off pulling the plug for good as you have.
Well said Jeff. Also, as the very title of this thread makes it perfectly clear, this would be the spot to complain about Premiere tables. As opposed to high jacking a thread called "Premiere tables are too fun"
Having actually played it before, I can say it's not worth the effort. Not unless you bundle it with other failed prototypes like Pinball Circus, Wizard Blocks, or Zingy Bingy. There's just not a lot there rule wise to keep you interested more than a few games worth. It's kinda like when you...
But I never, ever, ever play in camera 1! I used to play in cam 2, now I predominantly play in cam 3 and I always have it locked. But even before actually playing, you could tell if the settings were gonna chug or not just in the initial table flyover.
I finally got TPA up and running on a laptop just given to me. It's a Dell Inspiron 15 from 2013, running Intel Core i3-3227U @1.90 GHz and built in Intell HD4000 graphics with 4gb of RAM. So run of the mill basic laptop. I have Windows 10 running, max resolution of 1366 x 768.
TPA runs just...
As an avowed Premiere hater, this news really saddens me. I had such high hopes for this season (season of sports!), and much like season 2 the mere existence of crappy Gottlieb Premiere tables just makes me think down on the season.
What's funny is that Indy 500, EBD, and Dr Who make me happy...
The pro versions in this sale are only a few cents different in price. It's worth it at this price just for being able to explore using the table view mode. I personally don't ever mess with the operator menu, but to those that like to tweak, it can be fun. And then there's season 2 having...
I'd say homage was paid, but I don't believe they even thought for one minute to try and license a Holy Grail table. Audience was much wider with what they did, plus Holy Grail was not exactly a new film when MM came out.
I'd love for Zen to do something with Hairy Potter, and your Gremlins suggestion could be awesome. I've always wanted a Monty Python and the Holy Grail table as the jokes work so easily into pinball. 5 ball (3 sir, 3!) multiball anyone?
