I congratulate shutyertrap on a very well-run tournament.
I did a quick alternative scoring of this tournament. I just ranked all scores on each machine from 1 to 28, gave that number of points, and added up each player's points. The results are below, with these points given as "TRk" (total)...
TPA user maezun posted a link to this interview with the best TPA player in the world:

I'm posting here because Tarek is famous/great enough that this should be of prime general interest. (It was of even more interest to me as I knew...
FWIW, Here are all the current scores for username 'Failsight':
(DATE = the oldest database-grab that I have for this score; the true date is up to 28 days before this date.)
(ORANK = original rank; the rank of the score when it was made, more or less.)

Thanks very much for the link to the Tarek interview! I'm really looking forward to reading it.
Players get points for their highest N leaderboard ranks, where N is half the number of tables released, rounded up. The number of points that a rank of RANK gets is:
POINTS = 100 * exp(-0.0465 *...
Thanks for the review. JY is probably my least-favorite S3 table. That's partly the problems with the wrecking ball and partly the rules. I kind of enjoyed it in real life, and had a memorable game on it at a PAPA many years ago.
I'm still in shock about the impossible TPA shots you've...

Here are two pics posted by Mark Miwurdz in http://digitalpinballfans.com/showthread.php/8771-First-impressions?p=186234&viewfull=1#post186234 . They are of the PS3/PSN leaderboards around Jan 14, 2015. I think they are valuable because they show that Farsight's leaderboard table does contain...
But these rankings do remove the RBioN glitch, if you're talking about the 10B/20B glitch :). I suppose you mean could be removed from the official leaderboard... but it's obvious that they could be removed. Farsight just doesn't want to do it, even though I would supply the required SQL...

We have a new #1 player, who had quite a busy month. (I'm wondering if this was the best month by any player ever: 9...

1. Kobe is 36. That is not that old for an all-time great. Probably lots of players have had seasons at age 36 that were much better than Kobe's season so far.
2. He's taking 22 shots per game, the most in the NBA. About half the starters in the NBA would be a "beast" if their coach allowed...

I am kind of surprised, but I enjoy playing every single table. I think that is related to trying for high scores in most games.
Shooting for the drop targets on El Dorado is fun. And the danger of draining is high enough at my skill level that trying to get the EB before the drain is...
