I stopped shooting the brain bug a long time ago, as it usually bounced to an insta drain.
As for shooting recon from the right flipper, my biggest issue is getting control of the ball and catching it there. Tips anyone?
Yeah well, it took me weeks just to even get to Planet P, so I'm not looking forward to doing it this way. I've already got a go to string of profanities ready for when the ball accidentally bounced into the nuke hole on the 4th planet.
Let's revive this dead thread!
So since it being a TotW table, I've been trying for this stupid goal and been utterly demoralized by it. Just now I finally, finally made it to planet P, without spotting planets or species, and killed all the bugs. I eagerly awaited my 'goal completed'...
You do have to realize how obscure Zacc tables are though. There's next to no nostalgia for them here in the USA, as we rarely saw them. That makes it in many people's minds just another video pinball game.
A very good idea for Pixel Magic to do would be release one table with all the lighting...
That's fine if you don't have all the tables. You just won't get any points for it is all. And it is possible to beat Pinballwiz45b or any of these top tier guys, you just have to hope they have a really bad 2 games!
Getting them to the tracks though, as soon as you flip both ball they collide with each other, never making it to the ramps. Or at least that's what kept happening to me.
They were sorta trolls! It'd be like this; FarSight makes announcement that they are making X table, and within 5 comments someone would go "TAF please", completely ignoring the topic. This would then be followed by complaints about console release schedules. Something about the way people post...
Yeah, a full pull skill shot should cycle past the 100k with ease. In TPA a full pull lands you right on it 9 times out of 10.
That crossover wizard goal is a real treat. Finally beat it when the ball was shot into the Drac kicker and as it launched I shot the right ramp from the left flipper...
Pretty much what he said applies to me. Same age bracket, same machines to cut my teeth on. I worked in an arcade in '91, saw a bunch of tables come through. I never liked the build quality of Data East machines, and the Gottliebs of those years just looked like pale imitations. I had no clue...
This week we shall be playing the the very popular table Uber. This table featured flexible pricing depending on demand. What's that? I've got that all wrong? Okay fine, Taxi it is! This is the precursor machine to Diner, with very similar elements, while having a completely different layout and...
Yes, the 'staff' said that. Just so happened to be when FarSight was renewing their WMS contract. And up until last month, one of those staff who has heavy influence hadn't ever actually played it. This is the danger of only watching videos rather than putting hands on for real.
I will say...
I'm gonna get my guess (okay, wishlist) in before I actually learn what's up and have to abide by NDAs!
Swords of Fury (Way fun System 11 machine)
Eightball Deluxe (I may have convinced Norman at Arcade Expo)
Pinball Magic (if they do a Capcom, it'll be this one first)
Vector (seriously people...
Oh damn, guilty as charged. Now that we have that out of the way...
Yep, very difficult to talk about and vastly interesting. So many angles one can take to make an argument, and so many angles to counter those. I think every medium has had this discussion, and it never can be truly answered...
You are applying the test of time though to determine if something is artistic. There is plenty of art that is temporary. That artist Cristo, who covered landscapes in cloth, or planted all those umbrellas in California, all those were temporary art instillations and no longer available for...
Or just plain can't stand classical music. If you are talking about musical composition and theory, then you 'might' be correct in that they don't know about that aspect of music. This argument was had in the movie 'Amadeus' I believe.
I haven't added any new ratings to this survey since it was...
Xanija emailed me with an idea, and it got me thinking I should expand on the possibilities of what someone can do with a tourney if they volunteer to run it.
First off, I have said it should run on the last Saturday of the month. However, if you were interested in doing something that takes...
The problem with Comet is it's boring. I feel that way playing a real machine, and that would only be compounded playing in TPA. I know people want the 'trilogy' completed, but I think that's just because it scratches that completionist itch. Boots to pavement, there are soooo many better table...
