I'd recommend heading to Free Gold Watch. As the name suggests, it's pinball arcade (with a few video games) with a t-shirt printing shop in the back. Right at the eastern end of Golden Gate Park, easy to reach by bus. There are around 40 pins, all in pretty good shape, and they take...
I mostly played this in a campus bar at university, which I only ever went to when I was already drunk... so while I recall playing it lots, I can't imagine I played it very well.
I started doing this, with an aim to get a Top 100 score on every table. I'm still short on a number of them. I really don't know how I'm going to crack the Top 100 on TOTAN given the nature of its leaderboard.
Some more pop/rock pins:
- New Kids On The Block Pinball. You have to collect all 5 members of the band, locking 5 balls. Then a 6th ball is launched that is the brother of one of the band members and it goes on to be far more successful than the rest put together.
- Madonna pinball. Forget a...
I'm with you on the EBs. I could swear I've managed to get more than 6 total in a game before.
My one decent game I had last night, I maxed out at 4 EBs on ball 1 and wound up with around ~40M before draining for the first time; my score ended up as ~55M.
Now, my local high score list is...
Anything going on with the website? I can't log in right now. All that happens is I get a message saying "email validation required" and nothing happens. Very odd.
Also I just noticed that the Account tab goes to pinballanalytics.com instead of pinballarcade.com - a quick whois of...
As far as I could tell it was at the standard 5k. I wasn't exactly checking. There were a lot of people at the show, and this Cyclone was in great shape. As in, the $3k tag on it was in no way unrealistic in my mind. Whilst it wasn't the busiest table - it's not a DMD, after all! - it was...
I was at a show last weekend and the jackpot had got up to the 3.5-4M range when I played the table. I collected it.... Went back again a bit later and it was up to 2.5M. Which I collected. Couldn't make it a 3fer later on though!
Drat. Don't have it on Android and since it's paired with CPub I'm not that inclined to drop $5. Waiting for the next sale to fill in S2.
Ah well will have a quick blast on my PC after Game Of Thrones :)
Completely forgot about this... another of my faves and I love the TPA version. Played the heck out of it back in the day. Best on a real table is about 30M. TPA I think I'm around 120M. Need to check.
Hartnell, Troughton, Pertwee are all dead. Of the three Pertwee did the most non-Who.
Tom Baker's been in lots of stuff. Still crops up in places (including a recent New Who cameo).
Peter Davison too.
Fair to say Colin Baker's career fell off a cliff.
Sylvester McCoy was most recently seen...
The main thing to remember about TAF multiball is, you only need 2 balls. So deliberately drain the first. Then you can always catch one one each flipper. Next backhand the bookshelf with the right flipper, time it right and you're lined up for a shot for the 2x/3x jackpot. True it gets more...
Here's an easier way to think about it.
When you're waking up, New York is asleep*, and Los Angeles is just going to bed.
When you're having lunch, New York is having breakfast and Los Angeles is asleep.
When you're having tea (you're in Hull, I presume it's "tea"), New York is having lunch and...
Well, here's a suggestion. Not sure if it's really a "prize" as such, but...
How about interviewing the winner of each month's tourney on the next podcast? Obviously it would have to be mutually agreed and set up, but I'm sure there are a few players out there who'd be up for it.
Definitely. No table scrolling, better, more natural viewing angles. Of course a lot depends on the quality of the monitor you're using, you use a cheap-ass monitor you're going to get poor results no matter how you view it.
Plus I can use a wireless controller with my PC, so really there's...
There's always the halfway point of using a regular PC setup with the monitor rotated into portrait orientation. I'd suggest there are far more PC players who do that (I count myself amongst them), than go all the way and build/buy a cabinet.
I don't see any problem with a coin-op pin cab version of TPA. I mean, how's it going to distract from the core product? The cab version of TPA, when it eventually comes along, will be the same as the PC version just with some multi-monitor display config options bolted on. So yeah if TPA are...
