Yeah, I've been seeing this on the PS3 version. Its very similar to the issue on AFM from the opposite side of the table. In CC when the ball is rolling down out of the left side orbit it sometimes appears to hit an invisible edge at the exit and deflect STDM.
I've noticed this on several...
Of course the Mod and the Admin have summed it up nicely. People are quick to forget the opportunity cost of this type of endeavor also. If FS is working on this then that's less people working on fixing bugs and implementing more useful features.
Just because something is theoretically...
I doubt there's many people at all that would want the glass reflection effect in the way of the playfield detail.
If FS ever did add a glass effect I hope they would only do it as an option. Actually it could fit in well with Pro Mode, which is light on features right now. It would be...
Since a couple versions ago (maybe 2.08?) I've felt like most of the ball skins have become much more reflective, probably beyond what they should be. They almost seem to make the ball camouflaged now, picking up so much color from the table surroundings that the ball is hard to see.
I've actually found and played 2 different real AFM machines in the last month, and I second Arjan's comments on the orbit. There's a nice flat strip of metal lining the whole orbit exit area so the ball deflecting out towards the middle just shouldn't happen. The two tables I played...
I don't think those kind of scoring bugs are really the same though. Those only happen once in a while and my gain a player some extra points, but usually not to the point where its a truly out of place score. Even if a few instances do lead to a huge score its still at least in line with that...
I'm betting it will. I can remember seeing a few times where one ball appeared to push the other through the flipper. These two things just feel like they are related to me.
Thanks for another fix, I like that we're seeing steady improvement. So I'm guessing that this will be in the pack...
I would make one correction to that statement. They should only reset scores coming from platforms able to produce the glitch, in other words only mobile platforms. There's no reason to penalize the console players for a problem that is limited to mobile devices, and I second this statement:
Really? Is that an import?
I thought HDMI had some non-recording rules in its licensing but maybe my information is outdated.. that seems to happen to me more and more frequently.
I agree completely. I always seem to end up liking the late 70's to mid 80's era tables a lot.
So let's hope these guys are right about what Farsight's plans are:
Absolutely. I've come to look to Android releases as a guide for when we get the fixes on PS3. When they say they have a fix coming I look for what the next Android release is after that, then expect to get the fix on PS3 when that table pack comes to PS3. Otherwise it would be easy to forget...
I like the PAPA qualifying style that Sean DonCarlos proposes except maybe with a reasonable cap on the overall number of runs that a player can make. Somewhere between 10 and 20 runs would probably be a good limit. That's mainly just to stop anyone from thinking that there was a chance to...
2013 Real Machine High Scores:
AC/DC [PREM]........................ 14.6 M
Attack From Mars (3-Ball)......... 3758.2 M
Attack From Mars (4-Ball)........ 19315.9 M
Avengers............................ 26.8 M
Batman Dark Knight................. 194.0 M
Batman Forever.................... 1231.4 M...
I'd love to second this exact sentiment, but let's be honest, I'm going to buy the PS4 version regardless.. I'll just be happier about it if the tables are all improved.
