I'm feeling a strong sense of deja vu with the direction this thread is heading in..
The Gamasutra article does make it sound like Sony finally wants to make things easier for smaller developers.
If they get to a better place financially, the thing to do would be to bring in more bug-fixers on a permanent basis rather than shut down production temporarily.
I like this idea. The second thread could be a nice way for people to link you to other posts where someone has reported a bug buried in a random thread too.
Agreed. I have a hard time distinguishing the different parts of the table on Genie without straining my eyes. Gameplay-wise it seems pretty solid though.
I've had the same thing happen several times, below is my configuration info. It seems much more likely to happen with Borg multi-ball if I don't hit any jackpots with the torpedo launcher at the start. I does happen in the other multi-ball modes too though.
PS3 NA Version 2.09 @ 720p...
That's right, I forgot about that. That was just a PS+ discount, but not a freebie right? Its hard for me to tell as a PS+ member that already has the game, the new PSN store just says "Purchased" to me. I just know that when a game is free on PS+ I usually see a bunch of new people on my...
Its definitely worth it at $10 but has there been any mention of a promotion on the consoles like was done on Android recently?
I think it would be great for Farsight's market penetration if they offered a similar sale on the PS3, or maybe even a PS+ free giveaway.
That would be a good idea but the poll should be more than just Yes/No since it happens in greatly varying degrees, based on different TVs and output settings. It would have to have a range of options between none, very little, and a whole lot.
I for example have 1 TV* that its very noticeable...
I think this is really our only hope of Farsight having the resources to really dig in on bug fixing. I don't agree with stopping production to do it, but hopefully a greater revenue stream will allow them to. I have to believe they Farsight would like to tackle these bugs if they could afford...
As long as Farsight got their lawyers to write up the proper releases and disclaimers and the submission process made people agree to those terms in order to make a submission they would be fine.
That aside I think the layout of the new UI is fine but the textures need work, at least the PS3...
This is an interesting debate but the whole thing might be moot since Farsight probably doesn't know yet what Sony's rules for the platform transition will be. They might want to handle it a certain way but it may not be completely up to them to make the decision.
This may not be as much of an issue after the next gen since the consoles are moving the the x86 PC architecture. Backwards compatibility should be much easier going forward, assuming the market doesn't change drastically by the time we would be due for a PS5.
