Interesting idea.. a real pinball machine on a treadmill could be the next fitness fad! Pay for time on the treadmill and get freeplay on the pinball machine the whole time.. hmmm, name: "Fitness Arcade". Throw in a few of those dancing/skiing/snowboarding games.. there might be money to be...
Everyone that disagrees with me is wrong, and everyone that agrees with me is right. There, that settles it..
I'm surprised there's not more talk about Meteor, how can people resist all of those drop targets?
That is a very good question. They'll need to upload some new textures with the 3D update right? Maybe that can use that as an opportunity to change some of the old stuff out..
I voted Meteor, it looks like it would be fun with all of those drop-target banks. I wouldn't be disappointed with Seawitch or Nine Ball either though, they both look good too.
There's probably someone out there with a dial-up connection playing TPA on an old CRT TV that wouldn't notice any benefit. Or someone's just being a jackass about it..
Well its good at least that they've announced an expiration date for their bad policies.. too bad its not...
I also noticed that on the newer tables, STTNG in particular, you can see a little jiggle when the flipper snaps back down from the raised position to the resting position. It seems a little rigid and a bit more realistic than I remember the flipper action being before.
I would certainly welcome a new download if it fixed the graphical issues.
That being said, Sony's rule about not updating DLC is antiquated and needs to be rethought in the same way they are rethinking charging patch fees. This is one more thing that puts their consoles at a disadvantage...
I like that idea. All I want to do is pick an angle that's comfortable to me and play the game without the camera angle changing from what I chose (aside from some mode-specific zoom-ins which I'm ok with). I'm behind anything that makes it possible to do that without glitches.
If TPA ever adds online multiplayer the timed games are the way to go. The 5 or 10 minute race is definitely the most fun option for multiplayer games.
Zen has both timed and score target options in multiplayer but the timed games are way better. The score target games usually end up being...
I bet even Sony and Farsight aren't completely sure yet. This discussion is all just speculation and educated guesses right now, but that's ok too.
I don't mind hearing what people think should happen, or what they think will happen, and why. Some people just need to keep in mind that its...
Thanks for the response from an actual owner (I'm a little jealous). It must be just a minor flaw in the TPA geometry in that area of the table then. Hopefully they can fix later on at some point.
Yeah, 720p definitely makes a huge difference for many people including myself. In 1080p there's very noticeable lag but in 720p there's just the slightest hint of it on my setup. Its only really noticeable after playing a different pinball game like PHoF.
However I have my fingers crossed...
I was wondering about the right orbit exit (following a strong left orbit shot) myself. Is there something sticking out a bit on the real table that makes the ball sometimes deflect towards the center drain in the same way? Or is this just a stray polygon in the TPA version, meaning that it...
