I find it very ironic that I'm learning about the big Zen news that they've been hinting about for weeks on this forum first. There's nothing about this breaking news on their forum yet. Looks like 2013 is going to be a good year for Pinball all around though.
This is exactly how I feel. I regret buying the $750 memory foam mattress that gives me backaches now. Something that I spent $5 on doesn't get consideration for buyer's remorse.
I would have been ok with it if pro mode was a universal add-on for say $5 that gave you these features on all...
I should point out that my earlier post about the leaderboards was from memory and was either incorrect or outdated.
Right now I'm looking at them on the PS3 and there are only a handful of tables left where the mobile scores dominate the top 10 spots. Most of the top spots have been toppled...
For me personally I play much better on the console with the controller and struggle with the touch-screen. However I could see the Android devices possibly being easier if using a controller app, the physics do seem a little toned-down somehow. That could be just perception on the smaller...
I think he's just observing the leaderboards. It varies from table to table whether mobile or console scores dominate the top of the list, but more often its the mobile scores.
That's actually very well put. Its worth mentioning that it works in the other direction too. I have 2 TVs that refresh at 120hz. They aren't making up any extra frames from the 60fps output, they're just displaying each frame twice. It actually makes no noticeable visual difference for a 60...
This is what I'm referring to below. So why would the ball being lost stop a tilt from registering when you nudge like crazy?
I'm not questioning that it does he he's saying because I'm pretty sure I can remember the same thing happening to me once on RBIoN (PS3) shortly after the original...
That's similar to how I felt going from the old fat PS3 to the new slim model. I don't know how loud the older 360 is by comparison, but the old PS3 was definitely a lot louder than the new PS3s too.
Thanks for getting us back on topic, its amazing how quickly one ignorant post can derail a thread.
The pop bumper sound was definitely the first thing that stood out to me, playing MM all the time probably made it more prominent for me to notice. It seems to have a more realistic pop bumper...
The Note II is pretty big, its not really a phone that you can carry in your pocket comfortably.. But on the other hand the nice big screen is great for internet and/or video and its pretty powerful. Its almost like halfway between a normal smartphone and a small tablet.
A placeholder menu option for tournament is still there in the PS3 version at least, its just a matter of when they decide to enable it.
I like the idea of adding the hall of fame scoreboard to the console versions even more though.
I just got one recently. The game plays nice and smooth and looks great, but I don't really like touch-screen controls so I don't play it much. But in terms of how well the device runs the game I'd say it does extremely well.
