Okay, so it's not just the hammer that is missing from the pro, but the magnet that goes with it, which means a slight rule variant. With that being the only truly missing element (stand-ups instead of drop targets, no animated features), that 2 grand price difference is a lot to swallow! From a...
Yep, gonna be some Zen for me too! I've got a handful to get yet, but I know it won't be Street Fighter or Ninja Gaiden...hated those demos.
That leaves Cap America, Fantastic Four, Plants vs Zombies, Epic Quest, and Mars as the remaining tables. I know I'll get Epic Quest as everyone raves...
I was perfectly happy with my PS2, playing Guitar Hero 1, 2, and 3 pretty much exclusively at that point. I'm not an early adopter anyways. Just as I was starting to think about a future with the PS3 in it, Guitar Hero World Tour came out and I got the whole band kit as a gift, but for the PS2...
No, the Predator for sure said "over here" also. Sometimes you'd get the 'clacking' noise too.
My favorite thing on the 3DO was 'The Incredible Machine'. It was essentially a do it yourself Rube Goldberg game. Can't remember what the fighting game on it was, but remember it was pretty slick too.
The 'premium' is hideous compared to the 'pro' as far as the backglass is concerned.
I also laugh at the price difference between the pro and LE version considering what is missing. 5 grand for the pro, but no hammer (bummer) and no LED (meh). You want those? Gonna cost you 2 grand more! Oh...
Such good times playing AVP at my friend's house. He played, I mapped on graph paper. Wheee! Played on his 32" Sony XPR (it's huuuge!) with surround hooked up. Had never heard a vid game actually use surround before, and remember us freaking out because we heard the Predator whisper "anytime"...
Ya know what, it makes me extremely happy to see that it at least won't be another Stern photoshop table. Dig the cartoon style design, glad there is actually color on the table.
Forget about T3. It's a legal mess, due to the bankruptcy of the studio that owns it. Talking a legal mess that would put the whole Crave bankruptcy to shame. This is not me speculating either.
And yes, FarSight can by all means do a table like Pinball Circus. They would just need to convince...
Simply because we've been doing it in the chat room...
Is FarSight any closer to adding online play, and what might we expect of it? This is beyond tournament and challenge mode, but head to head and match play.
If you are a subscriber to the chatroom thread, no doubt you've read about this.
But since most of you aren't....
We've got a fun game going on that we run through the IRC chat room that you can join in by hitting that there 'chat room' tab right below the TPA Fans logo.
It's the 5 Minute...

Alrighty, so that was fun!
Here's how we were playing 5 minute pinball...
Using the time next to our posts in the chatroom, a start time would be established. For example a typical post would look like this...
(19:32)<shutyertrap>hey guys, what's happenin'?
So I'd say, start time for game is...
A couple of fun facts for you all...
If FarSight were to do this table, it would have to be entirely done like they did for the PHOF games, going after hours to the PHOF and snapping a bazillion photos. But that's not the biggest issue, getting the Roms would be. Which kinda leads into...
