Heh. The sounds are actually 44kHz. I think it's actually a combination of poor recording hardware, echoes, and my subjective experience. (the common mechanical sounds have a lot more punch, and I usually play the game at the lowest possible volume setting)
On my iPad1 the game is pretty much in slow motion when the camera is zoomed in. Camera 2 and other zoomed out views are still playable.
Looks like the simulation is now frame-based instead of time-based. And I noticed the new nudging behavior as well.
The mechanical sounds on Clown are really low quality and noisy. I don't like them at all.
The regular sounds have a higher sampling rate and sound (that's what sounds should do) much better. Clown's mechanical sounds sound like 6 bit@9 kHz.
:(
OTOH IMHO this table is one of the weakest Zac...
You should really, really practice swipe-nudging. Everytime. To change lanes, to slam the ball into a bumper, to prepare a shot.
Nudging is really 50% of the fun with this app.
Funny. On my iPad(OS 5.1) the mechanical sounds (Bumpers) are missing.
(Edit: The sounds are not missing. But I didn't recognize the mechanical sound because it's less prominent compared to the other tables. Maybe I should try headphones....)
I have found another bug: In some camera views, for example camera 3, when launching a ball, the camera points to the lower playfield while the ball is in the upper playfield.
This happens only in animated camera views and it appears that the transition from launcher view to playfield view.
It...
I like the table, plays very nice.
I think the playfield is a little dark in relation to the box and backglass(at least in the dark environment), but apart from that graphics and lightmap effects are beautiful as always.
So far I haven't found an obvious bug. It's IMO one of the better tables...
I think this is an older bug: The lights on the playfield stay lit when ball drains but the internal counter is reset. So when you hit the target again and one lamp is already lit, nothing seems to happen. When you have 2 lamps lit and hit the target again, it snaps back to one. (The same...
If supporting the dev is your primary motivation, buy both(or even better, go platinum and buy all tables separately) :)
I think most people here own the 'Zaccaria Pinball' app, because it was released first.
Age Of Pinballs is from 2011. It has nothing to do with Zaccaria Pinball, many of the tables are derived(loosely) form other manufacturer's designs with new artwork added. There is a thread somewhere on this forum where some of the doppelgangers are listed.
But it's still a a nice app.
Farfalla 1.8 has some bugs too:
Never saw these lamps alight in v.1.8 during gameplay,
but the LOVE insert above the right in-lane was dead since the first release, IIRC.
