As interesting as this seems to me, since most of the tables are EMs, I might not have that much of an appeal to it. My preferences in pins mainly reside in the 90's, and even a little in the 2000's. It's nice they have a lot of interesting pins, there, but there still are some I would hope...
I've watched this guy's stuff. He's pretty good. I still can't get over how he calls CV "Cirque Voltaire". All in all, he's pretty friendly, in terms of comments and such. I also dug how he knew FotNS quite a bit.
"Welcome to Game Show! I'm your host, Keith McTeeth!"
I have this on VP. It's amusing, but the T-R-U-C-K targets are crazy hard to hit. This is a pretty fun table, though, even if I did end up getting a couple of pity EBs.
Since I live in New Jersey, and by the shore to boot, there's a boardwalk with four arcades, three of them having pins. One has LotR and South Park, another has Family Guy, Sega Star Wars, Stern Indiana Jones, Data East Batman, and a Spiderman. There's one more, which I haven't been to...
I don't think that FS would do anything, regarding VP. I mean, I heard that Stern didn't really have any problems with their tables being emulated. From what I see, the engine TPA uses is far more reliable than VP/FP's. I've had tables where the ball would phase right through the flipper, or...
Tried making the window smaller, didn't work. Learned that if I open the VPT directly, it'll open the game to that, but if I hit play in the editor, it'll still throw those two errors.
Hey Jeff, mind sending me your TZ to see how you have it set up?
Gah, I tried that one, and it throws script errors about the gumball machine and something about the maximum ball speed. What should I do to fix this?
EDIT: Moving it into another folder did the trick, but the lights, ramps, and the hands on the clock seem really messed up. Look at this!
Now...
I downloaded a huge table pack for VP. Too bad most of them are EM's, and some don't even have the VPT files, either!
Also, i na TZ emulation, the table's great, but for one thing.
How do I get rid of that bar, anyway? It obscures my vision of the Shoot Again light.
I only have six tables, and my list would go like this:
1. Cirqus Voltaire
2. Theatre of Magic
3. Funhouse
4. Ripley's Believe it or Not!
5. Tales of the Arabian Nights
6. Black Hole
I did a "Favorite multiball animation" thread, yes, but I think there should be a catch-all thread about things you like in the endless amounts of pins out there. I guess I'll start.
Favorite Wizard Mode: Lost in the Zone. It's incredibly chaotic, and anything and everything will make the table...
Apollo 13 - That thirteen ball multiball. Hnnng. I just want to hear "Houston, we're surrounded by pinballs!" on TPA. I'm sure it can be handled, if VP can handle it. Still curious as to how they would govern the whole "B-L-A-S-T-O-F-F" display.
Twister - Canister Multiball. My favorite...
I can score pretty well on TOM without nudging. But when I got CV, I learned that nudging is pretty darn crucial. I applied the nudging to TOM, and I managed to get to about 5 bil in one ball. Then again, I'm not TOO amazing at pinball, heh.
I've only played TZ on Visual Pinball. Yes, one of my games got me to get LITZ twice in one game. But to be honest, a good amount of games would end quickly. This would be a result of the pops sending my ball hard down the middle. Then again, the nudging in VP isn't as strong as it is in TPA...
I usualy just hammer away at whatever is the closest to the flippers, unless it's a wizard mode, then I take careful aim, like in Join the Cirqus, and the subsequent Party Multiball. Other times I flail wildly, such as in Powerball Mania, when I have at least one ball up in the Powerfield.
I heard that Black Knight 2000 was supposed to be the first wizard mode, but the way to get it, by spelling "RANSOM", seems to carry over from game to game, so that wouldn't really count?
