Unfortunately scoring bugs are not limited to the mobile platform by any stretch. With a bit of searching on Youtube you'll find PS3 videos with people finding score bugs for nearly all the tables. So far from what I've seen tonight, thankfully these seem like bugs they stumbled upon and not...
They've got quite a few years of a headstart with digital releases, so this should come as no surprise. However, the moment people compare that really awkwardly stiff nudge and fairly crappy physics..there's just no contest. Don't get me wrong, I like Zen and all, they just don't worry me. =)
So far I'm in around the 350th spot with hardly any effort. I just don't have much motivation to try harder because when the ball goes hurling towards the outlanes or the center it's really difficult to nudge. That is unless someone knows of a way to have a third finger on the flipper at the...
Device/OS: Mac OS X 10.8.3
Bug Description: Shooting into the whirlpool after multiball causes the balls to fly off the table and can't be plunged. Calling for an attendant and then plunging will lock the game.
Steps To Reproduce: Get multiball, shoot ball into whirlpool right after...
Certainly possible based on the interview. Though I tend try to keep my expectations fairly low when it comes to releases. Murphy's law has to be etched in stone in the Farsight office I'd imagine.
Glad to help out where I can. I frequent the Google plus page more than here these days, as I'm a contributor there.
Like I said before, I was quite blown by how great Zen looks in 1080p and it shares the Windows marketplace with phones/tablets. So yeah, I have no reason to believe that...
I'll go ahead and stop you there. Windows 8 has "apps" now because it's also made for Microsoft surfaces. These are full applications that are simply "Metro" friendly and are available directly from the Windows Store making them easier to install on a surface. They don't suffer in any way due...
I'm getting an instant crash when going into options->manage tables on an iPhone 4. It's happening to guys at work and I noticed a couple of people on Facebook reported it.
I understand Steam taking a couple of months. How about the Windows 8 version? I realize there is a specific spot for that version on the forums. But since this thread is getting so much attention I figured it'd be easier to ask here. ;) I'm curious approximately how long it's going to be...
Can you tell us if this new build your doing will support the 360 controller in the menus? I hate having to slide the mouse to navigate to different tables on OS X.
It is probably unlikely to be added, but Steam really doesn't have anything to do with it. Publishers keep GFWL in many cases. Bulletstorm, Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition and Batman: Arkham Asylum are a few examples that are on Steam that still have GFWL. I thought GFWL would make sense...
You know I've seen a few people complain about GFWL, but I never had any issues whatsoever with it. But frankly I don't care what they call it, I just want to compare scores with my 360 friends and not have to buy another 360 (mine died).
Excellent! I'd also be interested in a "Games for Windows Live" implementation. That way comparing scores will be rather seamless with existing 360 friends. I'm really looking forward to reading/seeing your interview.
Ah fair enough, that's kind of what I had in mind (the new mini-tpa). I don't really care either way. Maybe now because they have a publisher and since seemingly the release is around the corner, they aren't bothering with it.
That's good news. Custom mapping would be nice as well, but as long as it's mapped like the 360 was I'm fine with that. Here's hoping they're able to offer all the tables that are already out at release. Have they already had a pc beta for the ST: TNG? I backed that for $100.
I'm really looking forward to the release of TPA on Windows 8. But without controller support it'll be almost worthless to me. After buying all the tables on TPA for OS X (no controller support), PS3 (hate 2-stage flippers), iOS/android (hate touch controls) and 360 (mine died), I have no...
