Just checked on the Stern VR Rift app, AC/DC is not on sale, and the 2 LE packs are still only purchasable for 50 gold bars. I was holding off purchasing AC/DC until they allowed regular purchase of the LE tables, but I may just grab the main one this month in case it goes away there too.
I got to play both, preferred the version with the upper play field. Mostly skill shot/ball lock though if I recall, minor changes to how features work. It is pretty small.
White Water also has increased requirements for Multiball upgrades. I think it makes sense, Multiball is much easier to get on some tables than others, it should be varied to the table itself, especially since the multiball upgrade is probably the biggest scoring increase for most tables.
And...
It might work to use the wizard power at end of ball on a 5+ million Clown Time, honestly I didn't think to try that until after I already got the goal.
Can't find that note in the Guide myself (on Steam), but it makes sense as the clown time bonus isn't added as score during play, but only tallied a the end of the ball as a bonus, so there's no reason the score multiplier wizard power should affect it while in clown time.
Eventually got it by...
Like when they made a deal with Williams, supposedly developed FX3 around it, didn't say a word when Farsight lost the license and only revealed months later when pack 1 was near release? ;)
Interesting that for once, the table goal on Zen is harder than TPA. Zen wants a 10+ million Clown Time score for the Hurricane achievement where TPA only wanted 5 million for the goal. Got to 9.5 million once and screamed when the ball missed the Comet on the last shot.
And despite the...
I wouldn't put too much hope into it, but if you want to go down that road, if there was a Stern deal and if they decided to push ahead with Jurassic World, since if I understand correctly Stern owns Data East's pinball assets, that would hopefully mean a recreation of the 90's Jurassic Park...
They have three at Pinball Showdown in Denver this weekend, had a blast on it. Really made me wish that whole pipe dream about new releases on SPA became a reality. Had one to myself for about 30 minutes right at opening before a crowd formed around them for the rest of the day.
Walking Dead isn't one I'm sure of. They've done one table, and that was an adaption of Season 1 of the Telltale Game. When you get an interview next I'd be curious if that also does cover the original comic series or the TV show (Which the Stern table is based on, isn't it?). Still, that's a...
I feel like the writing has been on the wall for awhile. With the loss of the Williams license, you would think Farsight would go full steam on SPA tables, but there's been silence since the release of BBH and WN last year, and no word of more recent Stern tables since Ghostbusters came out in...
I find the advantage of taking the Switch for travel gaming as opposed to my phone/tablet/3ds is that I can hijack an HDMI port on most hotel TVs, and boom, big screen gaming on the road. Multiple controllers pack well, so it works just as well travelling with my family as just by myself. I...
I'm hoping for $40, but since the Marvel Pinball Vol. 1 pack was $30 for 10 tables on PS4 and Xbox, $60 seems more likely. Anyway it's good news that more tables are headed to the Switch, I'm just crossing my fingers on an update to their VR package next.
Not that I can think of, but if you can name a specific table I can check. Adventure Land looks fine on table view 1 for instance. I run a 27" at 1440x2560 in FX3 and the only table issue I can recall is with Starfighter Assault. Namely the video modes don't display quite right, making them...
Unless you're rocking an old CRT, you should be able to just get a rotating stand for your current monitor, whatever the size. I have a 27" that I got a rotating stand for a few years back, and I'd have a hard time going back to playing pinball in landscape again.
Yeah, survival is tough, but it's worse than that. Having to bribe the guard lowers your score, which you then have to recover before you can reset the timer (If you're at 3 stars and the bribe moves you back to 2 stars, you don't get a timer reset when you move back to 3). At least 1 good...
I only got the Skillshot upgrade when I hit "M". Getting Smart Punch doesn't seem to qualify. Makes sense as the skillshot upgrade is a points multiplier.
I wonder how much trouble it would be for Zen to cheat this by just having a few different ROM states to either start the game with randomly, or in the case of something like Safe Cracker, have specific states with the number of collected VAULT letters remembered. Something that did surprise me...
