I hope Sorcerer makes to too. I like Jive Time better than I used to after playing more, but I still don't like it since it's too random. Definitely don't want to see it. I hope another Williams EM comes when they get around to it.
That sounds like a good idea, but I would like to see head to head for tables that support it. I would like to see online turn based for the turn based games and head to head for games like Challenger and Joust (and there was one game that could link up for MP?).
Cyclone is a very popular table and Dr. Dude was semi-announced and shown in Farsight videos, so they are far from longshots. Cactus Canyon still plays extremely well despite the unfinished software, so I think it still has a chance.
I don't agree with the assumption that you aren't old enough...
I think they should switch the special to giving credits instead of extra balls. Maybe have the credits used towards something else. On the 360 Black Hole, it seemed too easy to build up extra balls. I definitely want to see the tournament mode too, though.
I would like to see the option for replays instead of extra ball on special. Some stern tables have a button on the machine for tournament mode, so for the games that support it, I would like to see this included.
I ran into a few bugs on 360, especially with Black Hole. On Black Hole, I have gotten extra balls to the point where the ball counter went down. Not to mention the stuck balls I mentioned. On Tales of Arabian Nights, I had a very odd glitch with multiball where I hit a ball in the bazaar hole...
I wish more of the VP community would help Farsight with the emulation. They already have the creator of VPin Mame helping with emulation, but they could probably use some help from VP authors as well.
I wonder if it would be possible if FarSight made a disc based Stern collection. It would be cool to see one once Stern gets more stuff in Pinball Arcade.
Please don't talk to me like I don't know what I'm talking about. On the iOS, the nudging hasn't worked right since the start, black hole is currently unplayable due a glitch (though it's being fixed), MM flippers still aren't correct, there's a game killing multiball bug in Circus Voltaire. On...
Cirqus Voltaire and BoP at least seem to have some improvements in physics, but MM definitely seems more bouncy than the real machine. I don't recall the ball bouncing off the left flipper like it does when I hold it down for super skill shot on a real machine. Personally, while I understand...
I'm curious what the exact issue is. I hope FarSight is up to the task, but their track record has me skeptical. BTW, I know emulation and programming are hard, the engine is very different from VP (which I think would benefit some games rather than rule them out since VP is outdated in some...
oh ok. Thanks for the info.
Edit: NM. I didn't listen to enough of the PZ song. It's definitely the same song. Hopefully, if Farsight is somehow able to get the rights to The Who's Tommy, the song will be under the same license. At least Dr. Dude and possibly the Elvira games are coming.
I'm...
I didn't know the music in Party Zone was licensed. I thought it was all original. Maybe I'm mistaken, but are you sure you aren't confusing it with Party Animal (which does have licensed music)?
Me too. Also, I was told by Farsight that a Gottlieb table will be releasing in the next few months. I hope they will be able to get ROM emulation running, but I'm glad Black Hole is there anyway.
