There was a nice video posted at VPF today of the designer Jon Norris giving a small tour of the Gottlieb factory and he plays Cue Ball Wizard. Its about 45 mins and a great watch.

Great game but let down by howveasy it is. Just the ability to adjust the slope and reduce the strength of the flippers would make the world of difference, and would give the feel of the real deal.
Have FS ever commented if this would be an easy addition, does anyone know? I mean does merely...
I don't know enough about the rendering times but could it be they are rendering multiple permutations of different lights going off/fading at different times and in parallel which maybe amounts to 1000s of frames. Then add all the different views could that account for the time? When I look...
Thanks for the reply Roo and sorry I didn't make my post very clear. I got the table I backed free but I was thinking about a discount on the season passes. But come to think about it I am not too fussed, as the reason I supported the Kickstarter was to get the table made like you said, plus I...
I might be misunderstanding. For someone like me who supported the Kickstarter, I obviously the kind of person who will buy all the Season passes, so therefore how would I use a table pack credit? Maybe it can be used for a discount?
I also find view 3 to mostly be what best suit a cab, although some tables vary. For example Class of 1812 and Champion Pub view 2 is best from me. I guess a few views will be offered but even better as I mentioned earlier an ability to set the static camera position ourselves saved per table...
Definitely a great start Stuart - many thanks.
I rotate my XP screen using Nvidia control panel and set to 1080 x 1920 in config.
I tried about 10 tables mostly from Season 1 and can see flippers in all of them I tried except Funhouse which was zoomed in too much. Maybe I have been lucky, but...
Good to hear it Jeff. I think I remember Bobby sounding like his is up for it in one of your interviews. I guess it's all due to lack of time. Hopefully we will get it at some point.
I have to say on the rare occasion I manage to find and play a real table I always find it real effort to hit the ball up to the upper back part of the table - I almost feel like the flippers don't have the power but it is most likely related to the slope the operator has set the table up with...
Actually Mike was saying they were hoping for it last Friday, so hopefully it might be tomorrow. It's a holiday in France and the US today, and maybe also wherever the Steam bunch are in Europe it might be a holiday.
They listened! Portrait mode is enough for me to buy the season packs now as the cab stuff may take some time. It's really good to see an official announcement saying we will get Dynamic lighting AND graphics updates. Hopefully goodbye low res textures :).
Thank you Farsight
Edit...
Thanks a lot Mike for the updates - they really should give you a community managers salary on top of your developers salary.
Great news about multi-monitor and DMD support. Might be worth supporting a 3rd screen where the DMD can be dragged to for those without PinDMD and real DMD. I hope...
Those are top tables for sure and are amongst my favourites. It's good to know that there are 100s of more equally as good non-DMD Solid State tables that could be created. I hope these lesser known tables sold well once people tried the demo. On another note it will be nice to see a few more...
I suppose that anyone keen enough to get the instructions in a document, is gonna be such an enthusiast they will buy PA anyway. Maybe Farsight could PDF them or something for Pro mode (at a later date).
I am also holding off buying the season packs until there is a cab or portrait mode as that is the only way I play now. If I knew it was not going to be a separate product I would buy them now of course. Also a charged add-on to the current product would also be fine.
I did rotate my cabinets...
