Couple of issues with the TAF Gold options menu in Portrait (1080x1920).

In the table Help & Options menu, the room brightness slider and Gold Mode On/Off options are superimposed on one another:
3D175E6F30EDBF4FE1FEA86AEFB9F82A94F3D600

In the pause menu, the brightness slider is in a smaller font and the highlight is not properly aligned with it:

DX11 V1.37.6 Bugs:

  • Muffled music/sounds on Bride of Pin*Bot, Central Park, Cirqus Voltaire, FunHouse, Genie, No Good Gofers, Ripley's, Scared Stiff, Theatre of Magic, TotAN.
  • Missing blue and red floodlights on Lights Camera Action.
  • Cue Ball Wizard: SHOOT RAMP bulbs are in the wrong places. Even the flyers get it right.
  • Side GI (texture swap) in AFM has been carried over from DX9.
  • Fullscreen is not functional at this time. Known issue.
  • Ripley's and High Roller Casino: Mini DMDs are blurry and unreadable.
  • The upper-left portion of Centaur's playfield (not the plastics) is missing, making it look like the objects are hovering over thin air. (You can see the leg holding up the table. Look closely below.)
  • Missing 1K spinner sound on High Speed. Sound is present in DX9, though.
  • Cirqus: I'm seeing rectangular objects around the left part of the ramp and left orbit, as well as the right side of the DMD.
  • GI on Creature - overall lighting needs brightened.
  • Haunted House's bumpers needs GI.
  • Centaur's backglass isn't lit.
  • Earthshaker: Non-interactive GI on some features (Match-Up when no balls are locked, locking balls, etc.).
  • Centaur: 60 Bonus bulb is dim when lit.
  • Addams Family: Swapping Custom Balls crashes the game.
  • White Water: Occasional ball hops at Bigfoot Bluff's diverter.
  • Haunted House: Ball semi-disappearing when rolling over the lower playfield glass.
  • The fester and cousin IT custom balls are switched/broken, as well as the light bulb.
  • Whirlwind's GI seems to be blinking when it needs those bulbs to turn off.
  • Great job on the lightning effects on Whirlwind, but the light effects around the flashers remain on.
  • Twilight Zone: Buildup sound for Multiball is overlapped by another sound.
  • Also on Twilight Zone is the wronged Multiball startup light sequence alongside claiming a Jackpot, both being off sync when compared to the actual machine (DX9 has this problem as well). I think it's a problem with emulation in general.
  • Party Zone: There should be two separate types of solid GI color: Red and White. There are flashers in there as well that separate from the GI overall (which are already in there). Refer to the video below.
  • Shutyertrap's and other users' mentions listed.

The fester and cousin IT custom balls are switched/broken. The light bulb shines bright but the art is also messed up. Everyone I encourage you to try out the "light bulb" custom ball!

A lot of the lamps in MB look very washed out, even at 0%. The left/right lamps showing the progression towards Ball & Chain for instance, and Phantom Flip lamps in the inlanes.

Since the latest patch (1.37.6) my performance has gone to hell. Before, all tables ran perfect. Now, I get a long black screen before the menu and entering a table puts the game into slow motion mode.

The FPS counter shows 30-40 FPS, but the game seems to be in "bullet time" mode. Everything is animated smoothly more or less, the music is at a normal pace, but the game speed seems to be at 30%. It picks up on event cameras (e.g. the ring master on CV) but goes back to extreme slow motion at 40 FPS once the entire table is shown again. Before this patch I had no performance problems at all and possibly higher FPS.

Graphics: GeForce GT 650M
Display/Resolution: 1920x1080, 32bit, 60Hz
Processor: Intel i7-3270QM @ 2.60GHz (8 CPUs)
RAM: 8GB
OS: Windows 8.1 64bit

Fixed by adding dx11 .exe to NVIDA Control Panel and validating game files

Check in Nvidia control panel that pinballarcadedx11.exe still under nvidia, I think the latest update might have popped it out, I don't know. I'm experiencing improvements with latest update. We are almost running the exact same specs.

Not sure if it is just me but 1. I can't find the right 2K portrait resolution. 2. Any odd portrait resolutions like 1440 x 2160 cut off the bottom and the top of the table, like it is forcing letter box or something.

Can the contrast in the scoring segments on the back box of Elvira and the Party Monsters be increased? It is currently barely readable.

"Fixed configuration to set DX11 settings properly"

Here are my findings on a 5:4 - 1280x1024 screen.

Back buffer 1280x1024 does not make the image right. In full screen there are some black bars all around, and the actual screen is 1280x960 (as seen on the print screen after).

I found out my amd 7770 can handle higher back buffer. With 1920x1440 (1.33 ratio), 4xmsaa, 16x aniso and 100 msaa, the game runs super smooth at 60fps (incredbile!), and the textures are visibly sharper!

The problem is that using Catalyst control center/gpu scaling - "scale image to full path", although there are no black bars in full screen, a print screen shows the image at 1280x960. Makes me believe there are some stretched pixels and i don't see the game at the right aspect ratio.

I know 5:4 (1.25 ratio) screens are rare, but i would like this investigated sometime. Dx9 version seems to run just fine in full screen, taking a print screen showing a 1280x1024 image.

Pics: 1 = old dx9; 2 = back buffer 1280x1024; 3 = back buffer = 1920x1440

------------

Full screen with alt+enter works smooth for me. No slowdowns, almost no nothing. At random intervals there seems to be a "black screen" for a small fraction of a second, as if the screen would try to refresh or something. Don't know how to call this thing. Other than that, full screen is ok by me.

----------

How to run the game using the fps parameter?

\PinballArcade11.exe" -fps does not work.

How does the 5:4 1280x1024 perform flipped portrait for directx 11? That's how my setup will be... Really interested to know, if you get a chance to try.

I still consider it a bug that we have to rotate the screen first with a separate program to use portrait mode. It can't be THAT difficult to add a rotation function into the settings.

And please, please, please let us move the DMD to a different location now that DX11 is coming... :)

on whitewater when the ball is on the upper play field and rolls down the right ramp watch when it goes passed the red lights that make up the whirlpool underneath the ramp appear to be in the foreground making it look as if the ball somehow rolls under them.

Mike the game is looking great, i own all seasons on pc,ps4,iPad and my roommates have it on xobxone and i gotta say this game is looking and sounding better than i had anticipated based on what i saw on the other major platforms, not merely a rehash as some one suggested earlier in this thread apparently upset by their old gpu choking on a pinball, Well guess what? You troll people should have bought a new GPU instead of spending your money on zen pinball, shoulda saw that one comin suckas!

Thanx for all the extra help everyone with beta testing, you guys helped cover a lot of stuff really fast, its about time pinballwizard45b got some good help instead of the lot of us cracking off fart jokes, performing drunken low brow impersonations of the dummy heads from a couple of creepy pat lawlor games and of course just repeating all the bugs that he's already documented before i manage to finish downloading the newest build.

Tested. Result are like this:

Started with buffer height 2160. Various widths give bad results, as the flippers were not visible. 1280x2160 gave some kind of usability, but with black borders left and right.

The Mouse input on the PC version never capture the pressed event and make it "only" (as others have mentioned) so when you leftclick and hold on say the table brightness an hoover around on other stuff you can mess up settings quite alot since everything you pass over now will act as an "activate" where some events are selected by determing where the mouse pointer is regarding to the center of the current row in a menu. Also the keyboard focus is always "ontop" so if you got the window version going in the background while typing here on the forum in another window ontop you are still sending input to the arcade. :)

(also first time I pressed the table brightness on addams Family the arcade stalled and went slowmo where I had to restart.. another time when I pressed start I got to the final score screen as if I´ve played the game already and had to restart the table again... but these things are random and I haven´t been able to reproduce the behaviour.)

I found a bug :

I got the Addams Family table by participating in the kickstarter. The table appears as bought when I launch the normal PA version, but not in the DX11 version (it's asking me to buy it again).
