PC - Request Higher res floor texture?

How about a nice Austin Powers styled shagpile carpet?

I rummaged through the PS4 texture folder but couldn't find a single scrap of meat to scavenge.

The current texture is 512x512. I tried looking for a 1024 version, but so far haven't found it. And the artist who made it no longer works here, so it's quite possible he never added it to source control.

That's what I'm talking about! And to replace the texture itself would require even less work than a photoshop.

I'm seriously thinking about sneaking this into the next beta.

Oh man please add that. Let us beta it and then we all need to stockpile gifs of people eating popcorn so we can front load the feedback thread for this version.

Even if you actually update the texture, make it so that one is there for the first week as a nice little in-joke. Both the forum page and the Facebook page would be the most entertaining thing on the net.

All seriousness though, pinball arcade is all about nostalgia and the current texture reminds me of what games were like in the early 2000s.

Okay maybe a little overkill, but I would much prefer with a dark carpet. It should also be more practical to tile as the problem with the wooden floor seems to be its NOT being tiled or at least its being stretched way beyond its normal size first.

Almost everything here looks better than the existing texture.

They used to use a Space Carpet that pretty much looks like it came from the same factory as this. But people complained and FS replaced it with the wood floor. I was never one of those that complained. I miss that carpet. I felt it perfectly captured the era when arcades were awesome.

Yeah I think I remember it, never understood why it was changed to look worse. Having a toggle like with the ball skins isn't rocket science either.

That's like M.C. Escher does Nazi propaganda, it looks almost like a bunch of reverse, rounded Swasticas and Red Iron Crosses.
