UPDATE FarSight's The Twilight Zone Kickstarter Project was successfully funded at 2pm CDT with a final total of $77,499. A big thanks goes out to all of the backers that helped bring The Twilight Zone to The Pinball Arcade.

I don't think that's a risk unless the license holder is an individual. I know the Mystery Science Theater 3000 DVD releases are working around issues like that where there's someone who happens to own rights to some obscure B-movies no one would care about if it wasn't for MST3K, so they're potentially thinking they could cash in.

This was the reason MST3K went off the air in the first place.

Glad their using Game Center. If I could only get my friends usernames on it so I could compare my scores, then I'd be in business.

It's actually DLC Pack #2, not #3, that was moved up - and it's the PS3 version, not the Vita. The Vita was already announced for 6/26.

This is great news - I can get both table packs for the PS3 in a week. Woohoo!

Thanks Tabe...it is indeed DLC Tables Pack #2 that was moved up to June 26th for the PS Vita. It was already correct in my News post though. Both DLC Table Packs #1 and #2 were already announced to be be released for the PS3 on June 26th. The PS Vita version was the one moved up from July 3rd to June 26th.

Great news for all (European) PS3 players. I'd love to know whether the DLC will be available next week in Europe as well, but being finally able to play it is good enough for now... :)

Unfortunately, no...FarSight should have sent DLC Table Packs #1 and #2 to SCEE for approval as soon as the core tables were approved. Also, since approval took so long, FarSight may have also sent DLC Tables Pack #3 for approval as well.

UPDATE ... and the PS European version will be available on June 27th.

This could probably do with its own thread in the PS3 forum. Pretty easy to miss buried in here, and it's pretty huge news for us EU PS3 guys.

This was the reason MST3K went off the air in the first place.

Well, one of the reasons.

The case I was thinking of was one I learned about in a long-ago stint as a journalist for a campus magazine, which was actually even weirder than that: it was a paleontological dig for mastodon remains in Virginia. The College of William and Mary had a couple of teeth, and wanted to recover the rest of the beast, but the owners of the land were thinking they were sitting on vast riches (they weren't; these fossils are of far more scientific than monetary value). I don't know what, if anything, ever came of it.

Come to think of it, these classic pinball tables are a little like extinct Virginian elephants, except that TPA actually makes those skeletons dance...

I suppose the poster is right who pointed out that the problematic cases are big media companies, who are likely to have more realistic ideas about the value of their IP, but won't care if that amount is just too small for them to bother with.

for something that was slated to be released this month or next month from what i remember from the time they actually projected a release date, youd think theyd have something to show us.

id like the tz for the pc for my dobation to the kickstarter but im starting to feel like we might have the tz table before the pc version gets released

Don't worry, it's coming. FarSight tends to not announce releases too far ahead of time. Sometimes we'll hear of a release just hours before it's made available.

I'm also eagerly anticipating the PC version. I would buy the 360/PS3 version, but I'm sure I'll be kicking myself later when the PC version is out and with all the DLC tables day 1 while the consoles are still dragging along the certification process. Plus they hinted they might do pincab support, and I really want to make one of those one day. In the meantime I've been playing the PHOF on 360, and the moment the PC version gets released, count me in for a purchase :)
