I'm just going to start repeating the Getaway on all new speculation threads...with High Speed, it's been shown that this tactic does indeed work.

In fact...I think I'll just go create threads for packs 28, 29 and 30 now, you know, for the sake of efficiency.

So with new expectations in place I am predicting the packs from #28 to #30 will have:

* JackBot
* The Getaway
* Bram Stoker's Dracula

Can I play, too? Here's what I'm feeling for Table Packs #27-30:

#27: Safe Cracker: Safe Cracker is the only remaining little-to-no-licensing-hassle WPC-95 left other than Junkyard (though I do hope that we see Congo someday), so it's highly likely that we'll see it this season. Can FarSight implement the tokens and the Assault on the Vault? This table wouldn't feel complete without them.

#28: Corvette: This will tie in nicely with the release of Mustang, so I think this is a likely pick for this year. Corvette has some Early Installment Weirdness re: George Gomez's design style (I believe it's his only table with a third flipper) and some of the modes are a bit goofy, but it still plays smoothly and has a wonderfully cheesy mid-'90s rock soundtrack to boot.

#29: Diner: The last couple of tables selected via forum polls took a few months to come out, so don't count on Diner for June. Diner seems very similar to Taxi from what I've seen, but that isn't a bad thing at all. Overall, this should be one of the highlights of Season 3.

#30: Jack*Bot: The Pin*Bot trilogy has to be completed at some point, so what better time than at the end of Season 3? Jack*Bot often gets deried as a 'Pin*Bot clone', but the rules make for a completely different experience. Casino Run is an incredible wizard mode and the expanded multiball rules give the table another challenge worth pursuing. Overall, I think Jack*Bot would make for an ideal season-closing table.

I'm sure FS recently said they were interested in JackBot, but gave the impression it wasn't coming soon (can't remember which thread that was in). I think there's one more non-DMD to come this season other than Diner, so my predictions are:

Safe Cracker
The Party Zone
Banzai Run (please)

Jackbot
The Gateway
Bram Stokes Dracula

Not a bad way to end the season

Of course TAF if we get lucky thrown in the mix

Now Nightwing has another person to talk to (other than me, because I love Banzai Run as well) ;)

I don't think they'll do Getaway so soon after High Speed, maybe like a year from now or so in season four. I bet Jackbot will be in season four also.

I think Safe Cracker is coming soon in season three and of course Diner, hopefully BSD not long afterwards too. Corvette and Banzai Run would also be very welcome for season three or early season four.

They absolutely will not do "High Speed II: The Getaway" this season and have said as much. The reason was that they weren't going to do them back to back, so I'd expect it next season. It would also make more sense to save that for next season anyway.

The same goes for "Jack*Bot". I think they said it had a good shot for next season as it's highly requested, but no dice this season.

As for "Corvette", not happening anytime soon. This is a table I've asked about quite a few times and the answer I got was that the license would be pricey because Chevrolete would want a big chunk of change, which I never even thought about for some reason. I think they gave the same reasoning for "F-14 Tomcat" as well.

I'm not sure where they stand on "Banzai Run"? I'm not even sure if they know they can pull it off or not? I would think the top half would be pretty difficult to integrate.

However, I think "Safe Cracker" and "Dracula" have a pretty good shot this season. Both tables are requested, DAILY, and both fit the Williams/Bally pattern for this season. Plus both were ranked high up in the Top 10 Williams/Bally poll, as well.

Why would Jack•Bot be saved for the fourth season? The Machine: Bride of PIN•BOT was a Season 1 table, and PIN•BOT was a Season 2 table.

Heh, did you get that from TV Tropes? I recently made that observation and added it into the page for the Corvette pinball machine.

Why save "Jack*Bot" for next season? Why not?

It doesn't HAVE to be out in Season 3 JUST because the first two were released in the first two seasons. Besides, the demand for tables like "Safe Cracker" and/or "Dracula" are through the roof.

It's interesting because it's different, not because it's good. Game time is dictated by time and not number of balls which is really bizarre, too.

It plays okay (gave one a good go in Texas) and there's not a lot that's special on it beyond the novelty value. I'd say there's more novelty value in the lower PF on Black Hole/Haunted House.

What some might not know is that there's an option on the real table to turn the timer off, therefor the game can be dictated by the number of balls you get. I've asked Farsight *IF* they were to ever make this table, would they make that option available to non pro members, and they said they couldn't see why not.

Personally, I don't even want the table unless I have the option to turn that timer crap off. I hate timers, let alone an entire table dictated by it.

You do NOT drain when the timer runs out. It just means a drain ends your game, so it's not that bad.

The game is pretty much a fruit machine in pinball form.

If things goes the same way as usual.
This friday we should have the confirmation for junkyard and a twitch live.
Then next friday the official table release.
I'm really exited for this one, curious to see how they handled the crane.

Season 2 still did have some gems. Cue Ball Wizard was solid fun, despite lack of scoring balance. Played Class of 1812 in arcades years ago, so it brought back some fine memories. Centaur and Flight 2000 were solid old-school tables. White Water was definitely the highlight of season 2-simply because it's been one of my all-time favorites for more than two decades.
