High Roller Casino is a fun table, I'm glad to see another newer Stern in the mix, they are rather under-represented

Diner will be Table Pack 29 (since all of the odd number Table packs in Season 3 (except 21) have games that use alphanumeric displays), with Table Pack 30 being unknown.

Yep, and I think the last table is pretty well known.

Hopefully table 30 will be Bram Stokes Dracula
A nice finish to season 3

Indeed!

I hope High Roller Casino is a better table than LCA. This is the first table in this season I don't like very much.

I think just about anything is better than "Lights, Camera, Action!". lol

It certainly looks pretty fun, esp that roulette table. I would've personally preferred "World Poker Tour", but "High Roller Casino" looks just as fun.

Now if we could just get "Monopoly" and "Rollercoaster Tycoon".

The fact that High Roller Casino is being done means that there is a possibility that Jack*Bot could be in a future Table Pack.

I think there's a high probability. I wonder if the "cards" theme lately is a coincidence?

I don't know about all that, but there is a decent sized voice of people out there that request the table. Plus, it would finish the trilogy, so who knows?

The great season continues. Nice balance and fun tables every one.

I've been hoping for HRC for a while. Thanks FS!

I hope so, since both LCA and HRC are made by Jon Norris (according to ipdb). He also made Cue Ball Wizard and Tee'd Off, easily two of my least favorite tables.

However, HRC was made almost 10 years later, and it at least looks like an interesting playfield, and none of these sharp-angled Gottlieb flippers either. A lot of people seem to like it, so I'm hopeful :)

Yes, because we all know the newer the title, the better it is.

That's not what I meant, I was trying to say that he maybe sharpened his design skills in the meantime, because I didn't care for Cue Ball Wizard or Tee'd Off very much.

I'm definitely not a "newer is better" type of guy, I vastly prefer Taxi, Whirlwind, F2K or Firepower over Junk Yard or Who Dunnit (as an example) - but that has more to do with the designers taste and trademarks rather than the year they came out or the technology involved. Sometimes, though, pinball designers DO get better over time.

Most of the rest of the credits are Sega / Data East folks though (a couple from Williams as well, mostly on the software side). I've never played HRC but looking at that credit list, Jon Norris aside, I'd expect it to play more like the Sega games I've played instead of the Gottlieb games. Maybe not... *shrug* but there are a *lot* of factors that play into the design of a pinball game...

I love "Cue Ball Wizard", easily my favorite pool themed table next to "Big Shot", but I cannot stand "Tee'd Off". It's one of my least favorite tables on TPA.

I remember HRC being pretty good, though it's been about 10 years since I played it. Jon Norris? I thought it was a Keith Johnson game, which I've always liked a lot. Keefer's games have a certain flowy elegance to the rules, where you always feel like the machine is helping you along rather than fighting you.

According to ipdb, Jon Norris developer the concept while Keith Johnson designed the game. As far as we know, that amounts to Jon saying "Hey Keith, what about a gambling-themed machine?"
