If those $10 pledges turned to $100 ones this would be a done conversation by now ...

Quite frankly, between the three Farsight kickstarters, the previous failed Pro Pinball kickstarter, the upcoming Timeshock! kickstarter, and the PAPA TV kickstarter, I think the backer pool must be pretty fatigued at this point.

Yup, I can see that.

combination of update on kickstarter page, newsletter, post on facebook page and fan forums and the fact it was a weekend helped a lot. I'm guessing FS will do another update this weekend.

Personally I still think this is going to be a real struggle to achieve. Look forward to being proved wrong though.

Maybe but they will add up pretty quick. I pledged $10. Please don't hate me because I'm on a budget. I prefer to show support buy actually buying their tables.

However, if it was Super Mario brothers I'd pledge $50 though. Probably not gonna happen unless it becomes a Wii-U exclusive.

I think that if all iOS users were aware of this we'd be done (or just about) by now. I don't believe that most iOS users subscribe to the newsletter and I think a small fraction visit this site. FS need to make their userbase aware that this is happening.

Here is the current trending. It's my opinion that if something doesn't change it's not going to make it.

Anyone know if the T2 pinball, if its funded, will be included in the Season 2 Table pack? I've E-mailed Farsight on the kickstarter and on Facebook with no response at all, and didn't want to back anything till I at least got some sort of answer. Twilight Zone and Star Trek were included in the Season 1 Table Pack, so if we have already bought a Season 2 pack of some kind, have we in essence already paid for the table and are also paying at least $10 for the privilege to have the table created and licensed?

It's a bit of a bummer, I know I am on the fence in regards to pledging after paying more then $10 for Star Trek through Kickstarter and then having to pay another $6 for the pro pack.. whilst non-backers got the whole deal for less then $10 ... which is a little sand in the face for the people that supported the table fromt he get go. I'm more then happy to support Farsight and get some great tables on the platform, but they are handling this really badly. I wonder how many other people feel ripped off after the last kickstarters and are waiting to get a response or see what happens with this table before pledging.

They responded to a question in the kickstarter comments section and indicated that it will be included in the Season 2 pack.

The essence of the kickstarter isn't about paying for your table - it's about allowing it to get created in the first place. Receiving the table for free as part of your pledge is just a bonus.

Really? I respectfully have to disagree there. Nobody is funding a Kickstarter project like this, just 'cause. If the whole idea is only for licensing, then Farsight should really remove all mentions of getting copies of the game on any platform at all from the goals. Replace them all with a $2 t-shirt and other knick-knacks and let everyone buy the game after it succeeds, if after all, its all about getting it created in the first place.

To me paying for the game through a kickstarter campaign and also through my season 2 pro pack stinks of a con job. Farsight has the ability to change this and make it a little more equitable to people that have purchased all the tables, a season 2 pack and has farsight credits, and also expect people to cough up cash for a kickstarter to get a table made that when its produced they have actually already paid for.

As much as i'd love T2 on the Pinball Arcade, Farsight needs to lift its game a little - there are a lot of people jaded after the last two kickstarters and also with the introduction of these season packs which was 3 table packs into the season. If they were really serious about getting this one done they would put in more effort publicising it and giving the backers something more then simply creating a pinball table they have already pre-purchased through their season pack. Hell i'd even move my credit from my Pro table packs 11-13 to the kickstarter if I could, but the way Farsight is handling this really doesn't seem like a viable long term way to keep making great new pinballs that require licensing fees.

Perhaps looking at this whole Kickstarter as just licensing fees and getting the table created is the thing that is holding this kickstarter back from possibly succeeding. The buzz just doesn't seem to be there like it was with ST:TNG and TZ. Maybe Farsight needs to look at it more like Licensing, Creating and OWNING the game and adjust the rewards accordingly to take into consideration people that have purchased season packs already, have credit with them already, and have supported them through numerous purchases from the beginning.

I have to say I still feel kinda jibbed when I backed ST:TNG for $10 to own the table, the kickstarter made more then the required amount, the game was released to the general public for less ($5.50 std & $8.50pro in Australia) and I still had to pay extra $5.50 for a pro pack upgrade on top of that - because unlike TZ where they added the pro pack as an extra when they decided to decrease the cost of the actual table. So a supporter pays $16 for a table that Joe Schmo gets for $9, so someone who coudln't care less, didn't care if the table succeeded through kickstarter and didn't back it, got a better deal then someone staunchly supported the whole operation from the beginning, publicised it and really pushed for its creation. I can see why this Kickstarter is going slowly, but its still something Farsight can fix up and ultimately bring back a lot of backers.

Wolverine, you dont know how kickstarter works. There are tons of backers who get nothing. Thats the whole idea of kickstarter in the first place.

Some thing or service is offered at a certain price. As a buyer, you decide the value that item is worth at that moment, and whether the price is attractive. Nothing else should matter.

If in retrospect you regret having made the purchase, was it because the item was improperly represented? Did the seller deceived you in what you thought you would be getting?

Does your valuation of the item change when you find out someone paid less for the item? Presumably, you agreed to your price because you decided the price was a good price. If you wanted to have paid less, then you have no one to blame but yourself.

I know how kickstarter works.. I've backed more then just Pinball Arcade through Kickstarter. Perhaps I don't have oodles of cash coming out of my butt to back projects and get absolutely nothing in return. I guess some people do. Perhaps they have a lot of goodwill to the company/people running that Kickstarter. But there seems to be a lot of comments looking back through this forum and Facebook that are very similar to my own. Which means there are a lot of people on the fence about donating to this campaign. As a business, Farsight would be wise to take notice of all these people and make some adjustments to the Kickstarter to try and get as many people donating as they can. Otherwise, the way this is trending, this table won't be funded. Farsight doesn't seem to care either way. If they did they would be paying more attention to their fans and their requests. The requests are not unreasonable and are too numerous to ignore unless they wan't to lose the support of their subscribers.

Kickstarter is based on good will. I am sorry, but thats how it is. And i dont have alot of money too, but that does not change why kickstarter started.

If you kickstart a project you should see that as something you want to see build or made or developed. Thats it. And when it is been made, you can buy it.

Otherwise they could call it invester instead of kickstarting.

The purpose of a kickstarter is to make something happen that otherwise would not happen. An individual may back in proportion to his/her desire to see that something happen. The backer rewards really should be secondary to this decision.

One thing that hasn't been touched on too much in this thread is assuming that the kickstarter is funded by July 21, how is FarSight going to have this table done by September? Are they really that fast in converting them now? Do you think they've already started? If it comes down to the wire and, say, 10k is still needed can FarSight just support their own Kickstarter to see it funded? If it doesn't reach the 59k then any preliminary work done so far would have been a waste of man hours. Thoughts?

If kickstarter was purely goodwill, to support something being made, then they would get rid of backing tiers and people should only donate towards the cause. AS it stands, its more like investing in a project that when you have enough backers something happens, and hopefully you get something as well as a part of the backing agreement.

I was wondering that myself.. One month turn around.. i'd be guessing they have already started the process of making the table, which brings about more questions regarding the whole Kickstarter thing.
