Well, well, well...looks like a head to head battle is set since Zen is releasing on the same day.

Hopefully all the work Farsight did to upgrade the PS4 version of the game will be seen by the general PS4 user to entice them to buy it. Compared to Zen's minimal effort bringing Zen pinball to the PS4.

It sucks that so many people are making a big deal about the PS4 Zen being free vs the TPA version being discounted for previous owners. They conveniently fail to mention Zen is a mere direct port while TPA is taking advantage of the extra power with significant upgrades to the game.

If you really want to go down this road then let's say all that TPA did was copy tables in their office whereas Zen had to design theirs from scratch. So I'd give more overall props to Zen at this point. :)

That makes absolutely no logical sense but nice try I guess. TPA has actually done quite a good job in updating the tables to take advantage of the PS4 capabilities. I think it's cool that Zen is offering their PS4 versions free to the people who own them on the PS3 but really all they did was port them. FarSight has to pay the people that spent all the time working on the new lighting and physics improvements. At the end of the day they are in business to sell their products at a profit. Part of that goal would be to not lose money on any product. If they gave away the PS4 version they would be losing all of the money they invested into making it.

I really don't understand this attitude that people think that companies are "greedy" if they charge for their product. I see this on many forums and facebook not just related to TPA. When did being a successful business become a bad thing? There are large companies out there that don't seem to care about anything but their current profit and loss statement. There are companies that strive to increase revenue every quarter while offering the same products to the same customers. These are the companies that are constantly trying to sell you less stuff for more money. FarSight is not one of these big faceless corporations trying to separate you from your last dime with their new bright and shiny. In the world of video games they're one of the small shops with a great group of people making a living creating something pretty cool. No one is laughing their way to the bank making and selling virtual pinball machines for a couple dollars a pop.

So the second day is the Mac version of steam. Which begs more questions...is it cross entitled if you have PC steam? What happens if you purchased the osx version? Some of these versions are getting really odd in the overlap. I always felt the osx version was odd. Same thing with windows 8 version.

SteamPlay is cross platform. Buy it once, get it on PC and Mac.

Wow, Farsight have really surprised me with these 12 days of Christmas. I honestly expected just a few screenshots here and there but already we've had two huge surprises out of nowhere and it's looking like they have no sign of slowing down.

I am guessing the next few days will be a video of Fish Tales, video of Steam Mac, announcement of 2-3 tables coming in Season 3, a link to some website review, and the revelation of which table will be table 2 of Season 3.

Fish Tales goes BETA on Android today, so I'm guessing it'll be released on Friday, plus they try and get releases done simultaneously so it'll probably be out for the PC then, too.

1 - Pinball Arcade PS4 + Physical
2 - Pinball Arcade for Mac
3 - Video of Fish Tales?
4 -
5 -
6 -
7 - Fish Tales Released?
8 -
9 -
10 -
11 -
12 -

So somewhere along there I'm expecting them to announce the tables they told the beta backers that were coming, but that still leaves 7 days where literally anything could be coming out. A Wii U digital release would be great, maybe even physical because they managed to keep the PS4 release under wraps until now, other than that I'm stumped.

Steam Crossplay for Linux? I have literally no idea what is coming next and it's a fabulous Christmas present.

Maybe the next kickstarter announcement? addams?

That would be the best ever. If they could pull that off it would dwarf the other 11 nights. The only bad thing is if it started immediately, you have all the people still coping with Christmas bills but for Addams I am sure people would find a way to contribute. Any major kickstarter would be great. TSPP or to a lesser extent LotR would also be highly awesome. Plus there is a small overage from the T2 kickstarter fund.
