Reading the first few pages, ~13 months old, as captain hindsight, makes things comical. You can only feel like this after 8 dog years. They should have said nothing. No teasing, no nothing. No "it will be here soon after ps4". "No, scratch that, it will be very soon after xbone111!". Now it's "soon after TAF".

You guys make me glad that I picked the PC as my primary platform for the game.

No kidding. Just wait, there will be 2 separate files, a DX9 version and a new DX11 version, but something will go awry and it will wipe out all of our saved games so that any high scores and achieved goals are lost forever...but we will finally have cool, flashing lights.

I wonder when the room is bright would the tables look better in dx11 or exactly as they look now in dx9 mode.

Next after DX11 is the petition to get FarSight to update the 480p environmental textures......seriously that should be like an afternoons work for one of the artist guys!!!!!

There's a lot of quick fix work the art dept. guys should be able to do...problem is they don't want to hear it! Need to send them on vacation and have some temp guys jump in and do the menial labor they don't want to.

It will look better, or at least it should. I own a few tables on the PS4 version and quite frankly I am unconvinced as it doesn't feel right to me. I think because while the lights are good the things they are lighting do not look like the real materials.

I think the only way to have a true photo-realistic table is to have it heavilyy pre-rendered and just part real-time, like Pro Pinball are doing.

Its a shame Farsight couldn't/didn't do it this way as it allows weaker platforms to have much better graphics too. I suspect the problem is if you are emulating the ROM then you are simulating the table too, not to mention trying to keep file sizes down when you are dealing with so many tables. Timeshock for example is 274MB just for the one table!
