I'm not actually expecting to win it at all. It's a 10 minute one and I'm not exactly the best player out there. It's fun to have something tangible to compete for though regardless. Also giving a season pro pass to the top 20% is a nice incentive just to play as well. Good luck to everyone...
Heyo.
Everyone eligible should probably have gotten email from Farsight, but just as a heads up the Addams Family backer tournament started today on I think all platforms, and runs for the next 10 days. It looks like an unmodified table with extra balls on, and you have 10 minutes per try with...
Heyo I actually made some points for the first time in forever :)
Maybe time to get back to playing a bit.
Thanks to Invitro as always for making the chart. You're an awesome dude.
Preferably none at all. That's the whole point. Tables you can pound on forever and ever and ever are the bane of this game. There are one or two you can do that on even with no extra balls, but thankfully there are only a few.
I think it's the idol count. If it goes above some value the game will crash on bonus countdown. The really bad bit is if you get a really fast SDTM it'll possibly crash before you even have time to tilt out. I've been avoiding playing Ripley at all due to that issue since the last time I...
Yeah pretty much this, although there were only a couple tables in the first tournaments that were without EB. Ideally all would be. I'll say though there are a handful of tables that are still pretty cool to play in the 20 minutes, but a vast majority become kind of silly with the time limiter...
The nudging isn't any different from PC to consoles. Sure you can change how much it nudges but you can do that manually by not nudging as much with any analog platform. I'm also just going to mention how much I hate the 20 minute tournament system in case someone is keeping tally. I'm going to...
I could replace my top of the line 16:10 with a crappy 16:9 one which is a way worse aspect ratio for general computer use btw, yes. On the other hand Farsight could just fix it since they already did it for DX9, where it's worked perfectly since the day the game came out on steam. I don't...
This is incorrect. If your monitor has a res of 1920x1200 the game will never work without letterboxing in portrait mode due to the cameras. I don't really understand what the problem is here for farsight since DX9 already has the perfect camera positions for both of the main widescreen aspect...
Since I was mentioned... I'm still waiting for DX11 to get fixed up to the same standards as DX9, although my main issue really is that I don't like the 20 minute format at all. I'll play again eventually but it'll probably be non-competitively.
I see I dropped a lot since I last played. Really glad to see new and old people still cranking at it. I might have to get the new season and start playing again a little at some point. Thanks to invitro again for keeping things updated.
Caught sight of a CFTBL machine in an episode of BBC's Inspector George Gently TV show a few weeks ago. The episode was supposed to take place in the late 60s though. My immersion!
