Since we're going to indulge in fantasies here I'm going to say corvette and indy 500 are in, because if I wish it hard enough it comes true. That's how this works now.
Honestly my opinion is that it's just something fun to do. Getting all super serious about these tournaments isn't really productive due to how TPA works. A little competition is fun, but in the end it's still just supposed to be for fun, and I know I've at least personally lost sight of that...
The fact that there are people in non-bronze tournaments at all is probably a bug. They didn't account for mobile people with the same FS accounts playing in both.
edit: Also vikingerik found the tournament. Hide your scores and livestock!
I think this might be due to the very first tournaments two years ago where they had separate BH and TotAN versions for tournament with no extra balls on BH and fixed bazaar rewards for TOTAN. I don't think they've made separate tournament rules for tables since then, but they might still be...
I just have to respond to this because the CC situation illustrates why it's an extremely bad table for a timed tournament without the awards locked down. You absolutely will not and can not get the "ideal" score ever unless you get a very specific award from the quickshot bounty (the +1M bonus...
Yeah it absolutely is impossible. Invitro was just asking for clarification on what Eldar meant with the scores being ignored. I'm not Eldar, but I'm going to guess that he meant that the Montana_frank score isn't going to the general leaderboards. The thing is though that tournament scores...
Interestingly enough I didn't do that. I guess TZ does have multiple paths to roughly the same score after all so my thesis sucks. I'll still stick with CC being a really goddamn terrible tournament game because of the nature of the random awards though.
That actually reminds me that Farsight...
I don't honestly see any point in having a last score type rule with the 20 minute limiter. What is the actual benefit of doing it like that for the average player? If we remove the 20 minute limiter last score might matter for some tables, but generally not so much.
I guess my objection in...
Actually I guess I'm just being overly grumpy and in the danger of seeming like a giant knob. Apologies to all, and I'll just try to keep my terrible opinions to myself.
I'm honestly not sure how the family sharing thing works, but it seems like contacting steam support with your problem might be the best avenue. They'll probably know if something's wonky and can help you out with it.
We have a difference of perspective problem here, where I consider no extra balls to be the default state of the game. I guess I should have been more clear about that. I could also go on to note that 20 minutes is completely abritrary and affects different tables in different ways. It just...
Disabling extra balls simply limits your mistakes. An arbitrary time limit changes the entire scoring system of the game.
I get your point. It's just that I consider no extra balls the baseline for playing a tournament, and a time limit is definitely a weird aberration, and one which I don't...
I'd be pretty happy with any or all of the suggested things, as long as the 20 minute limit goes away. Having a time limiter changes how the tables play a little in some cases, and in some others absolutely massively. I'm hoping Farsight gets the tournament difficulty settings for tables going...
I'm honestly not super happy with the 20 min tournaments since it makes the optimal gameplay different than it would be in a normal game. Then again there's probably no other good way till they have actual tournament settings for tables in. Going to play all the tables once to get a baseline for...
Reminder that 10:16 (1200x1920 etc.) resolutions in DX11 leave the cameras busted and cut off the flippers entirely in a vast majority of the tables. We need the cameras from DX9 ported over or remade for DX11.
DX11 is also missing a fullscreen windowed mode.
The issue really is that the smart cheaters have scores that look legit. A lot of the ones removed recently were like that. People who just want to yell they're hackers will have scores in the trillions on a max 1M table or whatever, but the insidious ones are the ones you can't spot without the...
The biggest potential example of this being relevant is if they ever fix the extra ball bug on Genie. If that happens I'd say it would be fair to wipe the leaderboard for that table, since it changes the scoring of the game a lot in how easily large scores are attainable. Cases like that are...
