In theory it's a great idea, but the very fact that tables are too easy as noted before in this thread makes it not practical. It'd just mean that you're not actually competing against the best scores people can put out, but some arbitrary time limit people are personally willing to put in per...
Pretty much all the scores I found really suspicious seem to have been removed, so hooray and thanks to Farsight for policing the scores more actively now. Now if they'll just fix the cameras for DX11 I'll probably hop back in and do some playing.
Last time I tried it the game crashed out before I had the time to tilt, and I started shaking as hard as I could the instant I saw the ball was going out.
For me it's simply that I like having some little degree of anonymity about the things I do online. I don't really feel comfortable any random dude on the internet being able to link everything I've ever done on the computer to my real information. That said, I've already spilled my real name in...
I've been having various slowdown issues, albeit mainly in menus, with a 970. It's pretty fair to say it's probably just beta tinkering that's causing weirdness on good rigs. When the release happens we'll know what kind of grunt you actually need out of the GPU. I suspect it's not going to be...
The short answer to this is that higher age restriction restricts the sales demographics of the app a lot, which is a fairly important consideration for the mobile market I imagine. I mean I'd love it if we got the non-restricted versions of tables by default too, but from the POV of Farsight it...
1200x1920 is now directly selectable from configure, but the camera is still in 9:16 mode, so the flippers get cut off partially on completely on almost all tables. If we could get the camera angles for 10:16 from DX9 ported over that'd be great!
Thanks again to SYT and also to Xanija for running things. The tables were pretty horrible this month, but it's always fun to slap around a bit for the tournament. I'm really happy someone is taking the time to organize things like this.
I think an algorithm filter would be fine if it simply checked the possible scores on the table vs actual scores, to prevent scores that end in single digits for example (apart from central park). You'd also have to do some manual checking in addition I suppose.
I don't know if this is at all...
10:16 (1200x1920) cameras are still wonky on DX11. I took screenshots to help see the issue.
DX9 / DX11
The right side image being the DX11 and as you can see the camera is lower than on the DX9 version and hides more of the top and also almost all of the flippers.
edit: Forgot to mention...
I don't actually know for sure on TPA so this is just pure speculation, but physx etc is generally only really good for very specific types of calculations, and it's hard to imagine they'd make a specific build just for cards that can take advantage of it for TPA. I'd hazard that the entire...
I'd just go with Farsight's filter list personally unless there's a good reason to believe the score isn't bogus. Tarek's score is the only one in the list where I'd actually believe he got it. Vpforums should be blacklisted entirely in my opinion since he has a clearly bugged/hacked score and...
