The best use of the mini-flipper is to deaden the momentum of the ball coming through the right inlane or after a deadpass from the left so you can get a cradle on the right, which is pretty hard to do otherwise. I don't really use the miniflipper to make any actual shots.
Having motivation issues re: the game recently. I might try to push a set of scores to at least stay out of relegation maybe. When's the tournament ending?
Also how nice of them to run haunted house again which ignores rollovers over and over. Basically having to run 20 minutes like five times...
You can bandaid this by using the free camera mod one of the forums users released and setting the camera properly yourself through that. There's a subforum up top you can find the info for that in. I still hope the game proper gets it fixed though just for consistency, and because I imagine...
Another point is that a straight % game doesn't work in a 20 minute game on most tables since you can actually afford to lose a certain number of balls without losing anything except a few seconds off the clock. In a tournament or just playing without a time limiter I agree with what vikingerik...
Oh I didn't know there was a difference. That makes sense then yeah. I doubt it would stop them from doing it but at least it wouldn't get confused with a real player then.
Yeah when I say I played through I mean full 20 minute games. I had a couple early on that ended around the 10 minute mark before I remembered the table again.
e: Also there's no line of reasoning that will get you 24M in 20 minutes on haunted house. There are no massive scoring opportunities...
Lightning storm isn't the problem with tee'd off. It's probably required for the optimum path but that's similar to every other table. You absolutely will not get the best possible score only chaining lightning storms in a 20 minuter.
I honestly think Tee'd Off is one of the best tournament...
3.75M is definitely possible I think, although the scoring on the table is obfusctated enough that I'm not totally sure. I played through HH three times during the tournament, and all the scores went between 3.1 and 3.4M, with one getting not registered and ending at 335k.
I really wish...
Ok I think I'm finally tired of waiting for FS to fix the 10:16 cameras so I'll crank this. Thanks for making an alternative to the regular cameras available NoEx. It's much appreciated.
I had a whole big reply typed up but my browser ate it. I'll just condense it and say that due to TPA being inherently extremely easy to make shots on demand for on nearly every table, execution becomes way way less important than it does in real pinball. If you boil a found optimal route down...
I had a +1M bounty, one ball, 72M high noon game and ended at 280 million. There's something going on in that table I don't get. It's probably something to do with where the non-bounty bonus amount comes from, but I haven't been able to find any information on that online.
That list kind of makes me question it even more honestly, since his alltime records for HH, Space Shuttle, Class of 1812, and Tee'd Off at least are way below his 20 minute scores during this. Can't remember the others offhand without checking ingame. Then again as VE said we'll just have to...
The difference between the camera in TZ and say the bounty in CC is that the camera is a cycle of rewards instead of truly randomized. You can guarantee getting the camera bonus collect even during a 20 minute run.
I have to say I actually disagree on tee'd off. The doubler is definitely a major problem for tournaments on the table, but otherwise there are an astounding variety of different ways to put up a massive score on the table, way more than any other table I can think of offhand. Apart from the...
Camera collect is really only super relevant if you actually play powerball instead of multiball. Offhand it seems there's really little variation in score between the two approaches. I mean if you were absolutely perfect at using the powerball in regular multiball you could obviously crush the...
Dizzer2012 seems completely unbeatable in the bronze section. Sort of interesting considering his relative lack of high scores on the regular leaderboards. I guess he just likes playing shorter games? Congrats to him if he's on here. Unless viking really pounds tables tonight I don't think...
