HRC is an extremely good table, not sure why people hate it so much. Central Park is a great one too. I have all of them anyway because why not. I'm paying pennies per hour which is way better than a vast majority of games out there.
Sadly there's no way that would work unless you're working with a 50 inch monitor with some absurd resolution. The angle between playfield and backglass means you'd have to zoom out so far you wouldn't be able to make out the playfield. Probably wouldn't even be able to see the ball very well...
It depends on the screen but modern IPS style panels tend to have reasonable response times too. My Dell was at 7.9ms in testing, which is a little below half a frame at 60fps, and you can shave a little more off that by disabling the internal processing system on it, which doesn't really affect...
I'm pretty sure high quality modern monitors don't have this problem. What you're talking about is screens with extremely limited view angles. My Dell doesn't have this issue at all. I'd be hard pressed to think any screen that is newer than 5 years and not the absolute most budget version has...
It was impossible on the PS3 last I checked. Can't say if it's possible for PS4 though, sorry. That was actually the biggest reason I decided to just stop on the PS3 for good. Portrait mode is just too good.
I've had balls sort of simulate airball behavior in getting to places on tables they absolutely shouldn't be able to, but I think that only happens in TPA when the ball is going so fast it makes it through a game barrier between physics calculations. There are also some bad walls on some tables...
Not a livestream but I made a highlight of a ball played with the rift on centaur if anyone is interested in seeing that: http://www.twitch.tv/horsehammer/c/6346336
Note that I cut out the second screen because there's little point seeing both at once. Unless you also have a rift to watch it...
RBION does limit extra balls, but it's not to 3. Last time I played I had 7 or 8 of them stacked. I think the limit is 8 or 9 and then it stops giving them out for the rest of the game. I think the instructions even mention the number somewhere.
Noteworthy is that the extra balls barely even...
Am I right in assuming that this won't actually work in portrait mode at all because portrait mode forces your screen into a non-native resolution? I couldn't see any difference at all when I tried at least.
The largest issue MM has, although it's not the only one, is that you can farm Extra Balls forever with relatively little risk. I think it deserves a spot on the poll list, although I didn't personally vote for it this time.
